Hi everyone, I am 6 days post op and feeling great. Shoulder tip pain was agony in the first 4 days, had only a twinge yesterday and none today so hopefully that's the end of that! I have been on fluid food since the op and move to smooth tomorrow as I feel ready. I look forward to reading your posts and picking your brains as I progress through my weightloss.

I am 10 days post op, and am now on smooth foods, I have lost 5kg already, up until now I have felt very restricted, however yesterday and today I am hungry and can eat much more, I'm still getting full on less than my pre-band diet, but I liked being really restricted. Is this change normal and just a sign of healing? Will Drs do first fills early if a patient feels ready? Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38]

So I get my first fill in 2 days, I feel I need it, I can eat way more than I should be, I'm hungry a lot and I feel like I'm dieting. Is this how you know you need a fill? Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38]

Um I can't finger out how to see replies to my posts ?? I swear I don't usually have problems using social media, this one however...... How do I see replies?? Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38]

Hi Luna, we got banded the same day! Hope you get the answers you're after. Perhaps going and seeing your surgeon would be best. I know since the op I will have a day where I'm hungry and scared it's not working, then the next day I can eat almost nothing and struggle even with water. From what I've read here that's normal. Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38]

Can anyone tell me where I go to edit my profile?? Weigh day tomorrow and want to adjust my weight. Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38]

What a wonderful mind shift for you. Congrats, it must feel awesome! I am only 6 days post op, but you know what? I can already see I will have the same problem. Not sure how I'll navigate it, would love some advice from the WLS veterans. Thrilled not to be hungry! [emoji38] -
Did anyone here not need this (yet)?

I'm 6 days post op and I got my band purely because I am sick of being over weight. I am fit and healthy. I second guessed myself in the first 4 days because the shoulder tip pain was agony, but now that that has passed, I am so happy I did it. It feels wonderful to feel full and I feel free from my constant appetite. Good luck [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G925I using BariatricPal mobile app -
I only had to do 7 days on liquids, then moved to puree which is way more satisfying! Maybe contact your Dr and ask if you can progress. Sent from my SM-G925I using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm 6 days post op, my weight has gone up and down too. I decided today that I'm only going to weigh myself once a week. I will drive myself crazy otherwise, I get anxious when it goes up, when I'm anxious I want to eat, so no more daily (or twice daily) weighing. Op was done on Thursday, so Thursday each week is weigh day [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G925I using BariatricPal mobile app

Has Anyone Kept Their Surgery A Secret?
Flikster replied to Dtrain84's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm a secret bander too, I'm only 6 days post op so I haven't been questioned yet. I plan on just telling people that I'm watching my portion sizes, eliminating junk and moving more, not lying, just leaving out the band part. As for my op, I told everyone it was to fix my hernia, again not a lie, the surgeon took care of that while banding me 😊
