You can do it!!!! I wanted to say that first. I was on insulin and metformin and glipizide forever, it seemed. Now I do take half of a milligram of glimiperide but should be coming off that soon. My sugar levels come down naturally now which even medication could barely do at times. Good luck with everything. [emoji3][emoji106] Sent from my LG-K330 using BariatricPal mobile app

I was sleeved 8/08/2016 after a lifetime of being overweight and diabetic. I had a heart attack on my 47th birthday (2013) due to the havoc I had put my body through. Finally, once I got insured in 2014 and decided it was time to do something I had thought long and hard about. The surgery was about living, not vanity. There are obvious perks to weight loss but nothing beats the health benefits. No number on the scale, no clothes size. But, yes, that does feel good. It's just not my motivation. Living is. It's a tough process. I think everyone, after the fact, thinks "why the heck did I do this?" I sure did. But,luckily, it's too late then and you have to give it everything you got. I compare my progress to no one else's. I take the stalls in stride. We are all different and will progress differently. I'd go crazy if I didn't focus on that. I have not set an unreasonable goal for myself. I'm looking at 170-175. I will get there but am not in a huge hurry. So, my highest weight before I started my journey was 301 lbs. At the time of surgery I was 259 and, as of today, I am at 196. I am stalled and that's ok. I'm just so damn happy with what I've accomplished so far. Thank you and much luck to everyone who has taken a moment to read this. You can, and will, do it! And so will I. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using BariatricPal mobile app

Taking meds after surgery
iamteri replied to kymmiej11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took a chewable multivitamin for a month after my surgery but all other pills I was told to take 1 at a time. I had no issues. Hopefully, this can work for you. Sent from my Le Pan TC802A using BariatricPal mobile app
