Ten months after starting my weight-loss journey, and six-months after I had the surgery, I'm finally down to wearing size L clothing (I was a 4XL at the start of the year) and feeling much healthier. I was lucky enough to have access to universal health-care and a supporting partner, but I never thought I'd see this weight again (I haven't been this light since I was about 10 years old).
For much of this time, I didn't tell people that I had weight-loss surgery, and I didn't tell people how bad my health had become in the lead-up to making the decision to have a sleeve, I finally have the confidence to post the full story and pictures publicly, and this blog post will probably be the way in which most of my friends and family discover the truth about why friends regularly fail to recognize me on the street, unless I go up and say hello.
I posted the full story (and pics) here: http://the5percent.club/no-shame/
Finally I have no regrets, now I just have the lifelong challenge on making sure I don't put the weight back on!
