Doc said today keep straining the cream soups because they don't want me to have fiber yet...I'm only 1 week post surgery. Thoughts on the best protein powder?

Has Anyone Kept Their Surgery A Secret?
Will4-26 replied to Dtrain84's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
A friend of mine had the bypass a few years ago. We don't see each other often so when we did it was a huge difference. She had chosen not tell anyone outside of family...and me when I asked. She's been my rock through this process. Any way what she tells people is that she and her doctor and dietician worked out a plan. She follows that plan. All totally true. Apparently it satisfies most people. I haven't told any but a select few who I knew I'd need for emotional support. In the days following the surgery (which was last Wed 4/26) if I needed to explain my absence or fatigue I just said I had a procedure. Only one person asked what it was and I continued the conversation like I didn't hear him. From here on out...cuz I'm feeling pretty good...I'll stick with my doctor gave me a plan and I'm sticking to it. -
Taking meds after surgery

Sadly at my 1 week today I asked and was told by a resident "he usually goes about 4 weeks with the chewables. There's a method to his madness and he's one of the best." My doc was not in today so I saw his partner and he was no more help in my quest--except he said I could use raw honey on the apple sauce and pills. I'll go another week and then push it again. 2 of the anti-depressants had to be switched for other meds to be crushable and I'm super short tempered since the surgery...so I may make a plea to go back to those capsules. -

Yay! 4-6 weeks! If I had to do this crushable with applesauce thing forever, I don't know how I'd handle it. -
Pill Crushing Medications
Will4-26 replied to miaxx's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Early on I started adding a few drops of children's Tylenol on top of the crushed meds and apple sauce. I plan on asking my nurse tomorrow if I can switch to honey. I'll let you know. -
They took out my "heater"!
Will4-26 replied to Paul Bahr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So cold all the time! I texted a friend today "this is the first time in memory that I've said this: I'm cold." People catch colds in my apartment because I keep it so cold. Now I'm piled under blankets and still shivering. I was getting worried.
