Is 23 years old to young to get lapband?
robbydoll replied to guy221985's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm 21 and I'm getting banded on thursday. I dont see anything wrong with being banded young. I've tried every diet there is. It's time to enjoy being young! -
Hey everyone. I think that this is weird but let me know if this happened to anyone else. June 26 is my band date. June 18 is my preop where i see the dotor and anetheseologist ( i know i spelled that wrong). The thing is, I'm im not going to see my docotor, the one who is doing the surgery. I guess hes busy and theyre having me meet with someoene else. Did anyone else do this? Any input would be great. Thanks

I already finished all the pre-op testing. This is mt final appt before surgery where i meet with the doctor and anatheseologist. I just thought the actual surgeon doing the surgery would meet with the patients.

Yes I met him at the initial consult. I just would think that the doctor himself would meet with his patients pre op to discuss everything and get everything in order.

Hi everyone. I havent posted in awhile. But, I've had a very difficult journey to get to this place. I had to do PH tests (which involves having a tube up your nose for t24 hours and its hooked up to a moniter). Its extremely uncomfortable. Not fun at all. Both times they didnt work. Then I come to find out they arent really necassary. My office was bad about paperwork and letting me know information. But it's finally over with. I just gotta get through the 2 week protein shake diet. But, my new life is starting. I just cant wait!!!!

Esophageal Manometry
robbydoll replied to To be free's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I dont know if they recieved my results yet. They reffered me to a specific doctor that they send all their patients too so i dont think it took to long. Call the office you went to and ask if they sent your results yet. Every office is different. -
Esophageal Manometry
robbydoll replied to To be free's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just had this test done the other day. I was so nervous i was freaking out. It was very simple. not a big deal at all. Just a bad runny nose for the rest of the day. Just stay relaxed and it will be a piece of cake. Good luck! -
Surgery 5/2 and SCARED, don't know why?
robbydoll replied to pitter's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Last night I started thinking about my upcoming banding and started crying hystericaly out of nowhere. I've been very emotional thinking about it. I think alot of poeple experience this. Your going through a major change. But i keep thinking its a postive change thats going to make my life even better. Good luck! -
Im in the process of doing all the preliminaries for my surgery. I hope to set a date for this summer. Tonight I got so emotional thinking about i broke down and was hysterically crying. Did this happen to anyone else? The band itself doesnt really scare me, its surgery itself. I'm afraid of waking up, complications, and so on. LEt me know if anyone else had some crazy emotions. Thanks!!
