My surgery is scheduled for May 15th 2017 and I am so excited! However, my doctor does not have me on an all-liquid diet. Instead, I am on a high protein, low fat, no sugar/Carb diet 2 weeks before surgery. I was a bit concerned because I had never heard of this before. He explained the 2-week diet beforehand is only to make my liver smaller and the same can be accomplished with the 2-week diet he provided. Has anyone else ever heard of a doctor doing this?
EDIT Sorry seems like i found the answer to this after reading all posts lol. Anyone out there scheduled for the 15th?
