Thank you for the repiles, am going to get rid of my larger clothes to friends then what left will give to the op shop to raise money for animals. Made my decision thanks to you guys, yep never going to get fat again so they are just taking up space and can get put to good use elsewhere. -

port revision?
slimmy120 replied to gilliebean's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Gillibean I had problems my port sticking up, had it repositioned, but 3 weeks later had to have redone as internal stitches came apart, my port sounds like similar to yours, hope all goes well for both of us. -
Has your doctor allowed you morning afternoon and evening snacks? or has he told you no snacks just 3 meals a day? How long should a person feel full for?

What does your port feel like to touch
slimmy120 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What does your port feel like to touch, size shape etc. Does it move from place to place eg after eating or stays in the same spo? Where has your port been located? -
Can people please tell me how many of you and how many times you have had your port fixed because it has flipped, and over what period of time. I had my port repositioned because was pretruding 3 weeks ago, then went back to doctore who said port flipped, had to have surgery again 5 days ago, now the port one minute is under my bandage then above the bandage then under again so is moving ekk, hopefully not slipped again, i had no problems until decided did not like it protruding.

Can you tell if your internal stitches broken
slimmy120 replied to slimmy120's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I had my lapband placed in sep 2007 lost 80lbs, my port was sticking up seemed roundish, had revision procedure to make it flat, that was three weeks ago then doctor said it had flipped as stitches came undone internally, had surgery 7 days ago and now feel a squarish lump under my bandage then moves about 2 inches then back. Doctor on both occasions said just to eat carefully no need for mushy stage, and can resume normal activities the following day although may be tender. But even when having a fill normally he says no need for mushies or clear just be careful and eat slowly and chew as may now be tighter. -
How many times have your had your port fixed
slimmy120 replied to slimmy120's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Susan and Tulipstar you make me feel like there is hope thanx. -
I had my port restitched as it had flipped, it now moves about 2 inches from under my bandage, then back later(had restitched 7 days ago). I can feel like a protruding square bit that moves, is this what i should be feeling? thought it was suppose to be round??
-
We seem to both be progressing well I had surgery 18 sep 2008, and at the stage I was where you are I had lost 65lb,now I have lost 80lb, we just have to keep going, and looking forward to all those cheaper lovely smaller sizes, our improved health and also great looks hehe.

NurseRn you are doing well with your weightloss, hopefully our ports dont flip again, mine to was restitched over the old scars, and i too had the last op on the 7th/07/08. I am trying not to bend or stretch much but mine is on my waist, where is your port?
-
I had lost ove 70 pounds since sep last year, had my port sewn in further because it was protruding, had this done about 3 weeks ago, went for checkup and told my port had flipped, had this rectified 5 days ago, the doctor said it had flipped due to stitches coming apart internally, now i notice the port is under my bandage and then notice later it is about 2 inches above my bandage - it moves. does any one else have it move? hope stitches havent broken again.Go back to the doctor in 2 weeks.
-
Yes think may need to ring but hating to hear bad news

I had my port restitched 3 weeks ago then went to the doctor for checkup,he told me it had flipped . The initial restitching was because port protruding, then when had restitched apparently the port stitches inside came unstitched and the port flipped. Now had re done 5 days ago, but notice port under the bandage then moved to about 2 inches above the bandage then later back under the bandage, has anyone else experienced this? my port is on my waist?I go back to my doctor in 2 weeks.
