    So you did away with carb, does that mean potatoes, crispbreads, and beans as well? tell me what you have done away with, thanx for your advice

    Did I eat ok

    Today I at protein soup for breakfast, large skinny flat white when i got to work, 3 vietnames rice paper rolls(vegetarian ) for lunch, later black coffee, 4 sesame crisps total 40 grams between lunch and dinner, large roast chicken leg, then was hungry just eatern 4 corn thin crisp breads, with two slices of cheese - light cheese. Am i eating ok, what should i have eaten. Have been banded since sep 18 2007.Help!

    I only east whole meal or german rye bread, will try to stick to corn crispbreads, and yep i will remember the carbs as hunger pills good idea, thanx.
  7. Well i have lost enough weight to boost the excercise now, so want to lose more weight so if excercise going to pay of with better weight loss, got to get in with more omp and do.

    Let's be honest about exercise

    I was doing 30 to 40 minutes most days, but now by time get home from work too dark, and i am not an early morning person, found this site, have been so busy with it, reading all about everyone experiences and what to do and not to do - so my reason is i am educating myself at the moment , but know should do some excercise.

I keep having to tell myself, and make myself believe iiiiii am in control of what i eat, that means stop dont have another piece of bread, or better still dont have any bread --- i try and try, some days i am so good. but yep one day at a time, it is paying off 27 kilos since 18sep2007, okay havent done as well as others, but boy oh boy will keep at it as my shape is changing --- for the better, i wont let my favourite foods ruin it, i wont let them get to the better of me. i never want to be fat again - still am but working on not being, hey isnt that why we all on these boards to get motivated, comeon lets motivate each other we can do it, the band is there just to start us of but basically it is all up to us - we could sit there realistically having milkshakes, and icecream all day but we aint going to are we?
  10. I am in Australia, there is benefibre, but yes that is only fibre not protein, so i too await responses.

    One thing i notice everyone is doing, and was advised to do here on the board is to have protein, notice you guys all do, certain this stops the hunger, and i will follow in your steps, keep up all the good work.

    Yogurt is ok?

    Good ideas. will mix fruit and museli with my low fat yougurt, then when go to the doc ask if that is okay, i have been having low fat feta and a little low fat sliced, but the cheese is what i could easily overdo , so got to be careful.I take a calcium tablet everyday, he knows that as mum as oesteoprosis.

    My doctor in the booklet he gave me told me not to have empty calories - on drinks, and he also had in there on milk products - yogurt, he said not to have milk products because boosts the calories to fast??I always go for low fat.

    Am trying to eat more protein now, and will definately cut those carbs, carbs are bad in any weightloss, you just triggered me to start thinking right again thanx, thats what i needed for someone to tell me what i was doing wrong, as been losing, but now standstill so cut the carbs and up the protein i will, thanx.

    I am taking the advice which was given to me which included protein to stop hunger. You have done really well since Jan keep up the good work, but unlike me you have a youngster to run around after so yep you cant get tired which a child will do to you. I got banded on 18 sep 2007 and lost 27 kilos so you doing real real well, i started at weight 102. lost from 115 over 2 years myself before the band, we will over come our problems and get to our goal!
  18. What should i eat between meals, have been eating my normal days food as per since having banding 6 mnths ago, drinking lots of water, what to eat between, besides fruit, or jelly??

  20. I have been banded since 18 sep 2007 but lost 27kilos so far, but yes can eat anything, and lately feel real hungry, had 4 fills next not till end of may
  21. Got banded by dr tony keirth in sept 2007, he told me he now using a new type of band and he showed me.Any idea what type of lap band it is, i know he only uses one type -- well i think as he only showed me one.:crying:

  23. In australia they have protein soups - Tony ferguson brand, the creamy chicken is lovely, but the others, like drinking flour in water.

    Smoking?

    Finding it hard, but dont want problems with band because of my smoking, plus my health not to mention all the money, going to try patches again, tried years ago and had bad nightmares, try again, like with the food, try and try till i succeed.
  25. Thank you for letting me know the amount is not squashed up or pureed, get the idea now,nop i am eating alot more than that.You have done really well with you weightloss, hope to soon follow in your footsteps.
