so I just want to know how long would I have to wait to eat pasta or rice? I really want sushi but I am nervous because of the rice. Also I want to be able to have protein pasta.

Hey, So I am 2 months out of surgery and my sleep pattern is still bad! I cannot sleep (literally) until midnight or 1am and wake up at 5 am and cannot fall back to sleep until midnight the next night. Is this happening to anyone else? I have tried everything from no TV or phone while in bed and nothing has worked.

My Hunger Has Returned!!
Fresh_Start17 replied to jessjames's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
this is very inspiring! when I first started to feel hungry I was told that it was "all in my head." I knew the pain I was feeling. I believe that I have a good balance, but I am afraid that I am eating too much and I am going to stretch out my sleeve. I am going to PM you -

same here. everyone kept saying that it was just in my head. I was having serious hunger pains and i was told that it could be just digestive issues. personally i know how both things feel and i still say it is hunger pain. -

I feel the same way. I am also stuck at 198 and I feel as if this is it for me even though I am only 4 weeks post op. Its also the fat girl in me saying I cannot do it, but each day I continue to do what is required of me and I praise myself for making it this far! -

You should be drinking 3 ounces of your Isopure every other hour to ensure you are getting enough protein. -
how many calories should I eat?
Fresh_Start17 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am done with puree foods and now i am in the next stage. I find myself getting full quick and i am not getting the correct amount of calories each day. I count my calories and I try to eat more but I get the "stuck" feeling of the food and I stop eating. Is there any way I can get my calorie count up? Also, how many calories am I supposed to get each day? someone please help!! -

okay yes same here. I know that I have not been getting the required calories and I also do not want my body to go into starvation mode. I try to focus on my protein and i still drink my Isopure to make sure my protein levels are good. -

I have the same problem with water. I had my surgery on 3/31 and I feel as if my taste buds have changed so much! try crystal light in your water it still counts! -
my surgery date was March 31, 2017. I am ending my puree stage of foods and I am going to start the next stage. Moving forward I am afraid that I am going to stretch out my new stomach but I still feel hungry, even after slowing down my eating. Due to my fear I stick to the 3 ounces required but I still feel hungry. What should I do? Is it normal to feel this way?

feeling full
Fresh_Start17 replied to Fresh_Start17's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thank you so much! yes i am scared to eat things like chicken so I have been dealing with puree fish which is not too heavy. i tried to cut down on my starch to add more protein just so I can feel satisfied. But overall I feel "pain" in my stomach when I'm hungry. I try to drink more but the pain is still there. This is why I am feeling the way I am.
