That would be frustrating. I would get it unfilled. There might even be something else going on with the band. On another note, have you tried to drink something warm.

When I had my second fill, it took my band to 2.4 cc(4cc band). I thought for sure it was too tight. I could eat certain things; but, I had to eat them slow and chew them alot. I was frustrated. Now, I did like how the pounds were coming off. I had to retrain myself on how to eat. In the morning, I will have coffee and maybe some soft eggs. I do notice that at night, I can eat more. What you need to ask yourself is if you are eating "to the rules" of the band. Slow, 20 bites per chew, no drinks. The only reason I say that is because I wasn't. I just thought it was too tight. I do have an appointment in about two week and I don't know if I want to go. I am satisfied with the results now. Good Luck.

Hello, I am new to this site. I had my surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Shaurer was scheduling visits every two months; but my last fill is perfect for now. My next appointment is in February and I don't think I need to go. Do you guys make your own appointment when you think you should go in or does the doctor want to see you at a certain time? My last fill is definately tighter. There are times I find that my food will get stuck or I'll throw up. I don't think it's because my band is too tight; I think it's because I forget I have the band. I just start eating without thinking about chewing the food well enough. I do notice that I can eat better after lunch; mornings are just coffee or a smoothie or soft eggs. Since I had my last fill on December 4, 2005, I have lost 6 lbs. So 6 lbs in a month, I'll take it. I'm down 29 lbs since August. Sue Surgery August 26, 2005 Weight 254 Current 225 Down 29 lbs 1st fill 2 cc 2nd fill .4 cc

Hi Michelle, I had the surgery in Cleveland at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Shaurer was the doctor. He is really nice. Go to Clevelandclinic.com and you can see him and the section on weight loss. I just wanted to go somewhere I knew would be safe and had a good reputation. My insurance paid for it; but it did take about 6 months for approval. The weight loss department is fairly new there; but they are great. Good Luck. Do you live close to Cleveland? I live in Akron.

Do you have regular fill appointments?

Thanks for the replies. I might just call in to see if he would like to see me even if I don't receive a fill. My appointment isn't until next month. Thanks again.
