  1. Hi all I'm 3 1/2 week out from surgery and doing great no that the gout went away. I do have a question though, I am still on a liquid diet yill next week and I have been having no problems achieving 80 ounces of liquids (protein shakes, soup, water etc) a day should I be concerned by this or am I OK.
  2. Well it's two week post op and I have been feeling great until my gout flaired up now I know I need the protein but not being able to drink enough fluids has made my gout flair anyone else ever had this happen to them?
  3. I'm right there with you my RNY was on 8/28/17 my meal schedule showed me being able to eat soft/pured foods in week 4 which should be now but at a closer look at the schedule showed "week 3" is actually 14 days. I have had no problems with anything thus far, I bought some thicker creamed soups which seems to help. Just hang in there, you have gotten this far one more week won't kill you have an additional, shake more protein never hurts.
  4. Well, my surgery was Monday morning came home on Tuesday having gas pains today but I am much more tired than I was yesterday. Anyone else feeling this way.
  5. Well, I'm 8 days away from my surgery and doing quite well on the liver reduction diet. I can't wait for the surgery, how ever I am loosing weight on the diet and my wife seems less on board now about my surgery, she asks why can't I just continue to follow this diet to loose my weight. She doesn't understand that you can't live on this diet it's to hard and once I would stop it the weight will just pile back on. Now she has me questioning my decision, help.
  6. Well today I began my two week liver reduction diet and had my preop testing, I have read every blog to my detriment, I am having the surgery because I have seen men in my family die before 62. I'm not worried about the diet etc. but I have never had any surgery before and I am beginning to freak out a little. I have a super high pain tolerance, so that's not the problem. I guess although I know the odds I'm worried about something going wrong I have my wife and two daughters to think about. Anyone else have these feeling before surgery.
