I am 2 months post sleeve and looking for a RTD protein drink with about 30 grams of protein. I have been using Premiere Protein shakes since pre-op but lately they make me nauseous. Suggestions for something with a lot of protein that won't make me queasy? What I wish they had was a 30 gram protein cheese! [emoji1]

I am 11 days post sleeve and my pain was getting much better, I could even lay on my side with a pillow pressed against my stomach. Starting yesterday the area under the incision (not the incision itself, the muscles underneath) began to feel extremely painful, making it difficult to move. This feels like a step backwards. This pain takes my breath away. Is this normal or should I call my surgeon's office?

Glad you got extra time off, Molly. I am going back to work Monday after 4 weeks. No way was I ready at 3, but I feel ready now, although I know I'll have to try and set some boundaries around self care.

Thanks for the info. I see my doctor next Thursday and if this pain is not better I will need to ask for more time off work. I am supposed to go back on 5/8.

Let us know what your doctor says. I have the same fear about returning to work, as I can barely sit at a table for 30 minutes, let alone a desk for 10 hours.

Just wanted to follow up and share what my doctor said. They put a stitch inside and sometimes there can be some nerve entrapment as it heals, causing the pain I described. He prescribed heat, which I have been doing, and Flexeril, which I am about to try. I will report back as to the efficacy.

I am 8 days post sleeve and have managed to walk around the block daily the past 3 days. I read on this forum, which by the way is very helpful, thanks, about people walking a mile, 2 miles etc. I feel as though I am lagging behind. I still have quite a bit of pain when I move, and usually need 2 naps a day. I can't imagine being back at work, although I see some people return to work after a week. I am just starting blended food and have met my fluid and protein goals from the start. Do I sound like I'm behind in the walking department?

Thanks for the validation. Love your user name.

I'd walk a block or two pre-surgery with daily dog walks, and although I am able to swim a mile, I never walk that far. I figure that since I can't get back to swimming for a few weeks, I should amp up the walking, but so far it is painful and exhausting.
