Ezma replied to serenity55's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
From one VV (Victorious Valentine) to the new group of hopefully VV 2009s, best of luck to all of you. May you find your bands to be helpful and I hope you love them as much as I love mine. We're rapidly approaching our 1 year bandiversary so if you guys have any questions or need some info feel free to pop in our area. Go February 2009!!!! -
OMG..I have lost 11 lbs since my fill the 12.23..Woohoo

That's fantastic! Yay for you! I too have the problem with eating too fast and not chewing well enough. I know I need a fill but I can't even begin to face one with all the pain and grossness I have about once a week from my inability to eat the way I should. I seem to have a very long learning curve. -
Right there with you guys on the night time eating. I'm not even hungry. I can make it until morning but I just want something sweet or salty at night. I think it might even be a natural thing to store some food for the long phase until the next meal in the morning. Kinda bear-like aren't we? Right now the biggest problem I've been having is lack of time. Due to that I'm not exercising as regularly as I should and I'm eating on the run. Bad nutritionally and I got a chicken nugget stuck the other night and was heaving for two hours before it passed. Seems to be okay now but I'm being very, very careful now.
-
Way to go Anna!!! I'm so jealous of you! Not only for the 100s but for the exercise stuff too. Dang you are kicking some fitness butt girl.
-
Jumping up right now to workout and then off to get ready for work. I went back to work yesterday after about 6 weeks off. Felt weird but was great to see everyone there. Two more full days this week and then I'll probably be going part time so I can take care of my husband. It's good to have time with him. Yay exercise! Go team, go!
-
Well, I'm definitely not posting what I ate yesterday but let's see if shame can help me eat better today so I can post. Maybe this is just what I need to get my eating back in line and the scale moving down at a nice pace. Thanks.
-
How did the fill go Tap? Do you have to do liquids for a day or two? Got my fingers crossed for you that it will be just what you need to get you going strong again.
-
Good luck on the fill Tap. It's a good thing. I keep avoiding one because I get stuck now. Not because I'm too tight but because I don't chew well enough or eat slow enough. And yep, this is a good one to revive. I've been losing slowly. I'll drop a couple then bounce a pound or two for a few days. It's a good rate so I'm happy even though I could do so much better. Maybe this thread will help me eat better food.
-
I really admire you guys. I'd love to run and have no idea why. I just find my body wanting to run when I go for walks or at different random moments during the day. I'm still a ways off from actually doing it but I'm getting closer each day. I'd guess a good time for me to start would be in another 50 pounds. Off to workout now. I missed a couple days this weekend but I was shopping for 8-10 hours each day. Does that count? LOL Have a great day.
-
I did get my workout in yesterday. Yay! Guess I really do have to do it first thing in the morning. So as soon as I'm finished posting here I'm off to do it again today. Another good thing is that I'm back to tracking my food. It really does help me stay on track and lose. Close to having the 12 pounds I gained off again. Looks like many of us took a day off. Hope we all stay inspired. We can do it 'cause we are..... Victorious Valentines!

I was a bad girl. I should have known that attempting to fit exercise in after the day gets going is not gonna happen. Once I woke up again, hubby was home from his men's group at church and things got really chaotic. No excuses this morning! I'm off to workout before I get the papers together for the mortgage broker. We found a house!!! Been looking for only a month and we found one we loved, in our price range, in a great location. We put in a low bid and they countered at exactly what we were hoping to pay. We accepted! Yay! Now it's just tons of paperwork, inspections, shopping and praying nothing goes wrong between now and close on Feb. 12th. Planning to have a romantic dinner with the hubby on our new dining room set in our new home for Valentines day. It's so good that some wonderful things have been able to happen for him during all this cancer hell.

Morning guys. I was gonna come on here and say that I didn't think I'd get to my exercise today and then go back to bed. Well, this thread saved me once again. I still plan to go back to bed but now I know I'm gonna do my workout when I get up. Have to make time for myself or I'll go insane. Night Night, I need a nap.

Countdown to your Bandiversary!

Wow janderwood! You've done fantastic, especially considering you're fighting the prednisone beast. My hubby is on a steroid called dechadron and he eats like a fiend. I don't always get the eating frenzy when I take prednisone but when I do it's like an all out food-a-thon. Keep staying strong. You're definitely doing the right thing. -
Getting ready to workout and then off to house hunt for 3 hours. Does that count as exercise? I know it's giving my brain a workout. Take care all. It's so great to have more people back. Knowing I need to check in here and seeing how everyone is doing is really helping me get back on track. Woot!
-
I'm with you there Tap. I miss all of them. It's amazing how few regular posters are left now. I'm just worried that they might be having a hard time. If so this is really the place you need to be, with people that do understand and can help. And if you're out there busy, having a blast with your new bodies, we wanna hear that too. Just pop in and post how things are going so we can aspire to be there too and celebrate your new found lives with you.

Good morning all. I had a bad exercise weekend but I'm ready to get back at it. This morning should be interesting since the speaker on my computer is out for some reason. Gonna see how well I know my workout since I won't be able to hear a thing. LOL Go team, go!!!
-
Today is my normal day off exercise. I do a lot of shopping on Saturday so that's it for me. Boy are Saturdays fun.
-
Not me. I had quite a ways to go though. Very, very happy being halfway there. It was expected to take a couple of years from the start so I'm right on track. Aggie and Tap - you're both doing fantastic. I'm envious of you both.
-
Nothing yet for me today. Unless you want to count trying to lift my hubby off the floor when he fell as weightlifting. I know I was sweating when we finally got him back to bed. No time now for my workout as I have a doctor's appointment shortly. Gonna try to work in a walk later on. Cross all fingers and toes for me. You guys are all doing so great. Yay!
-
Okay, you guys are the best motivation I could want. I was logging on to post that I wouldn't be doing my workout this morning because I had a big day ahead of me. Well after reading all that you guys have done, I know I have to find time to do it this morning anyway. So now I'm off to squeeze it in before my friend gets here. Thank you all so much for being here.
-
Yay Tap! You're really getting back into the groove. Great for you! It's great to have mmike, rhap, shiny and lil here. Where are all the rest of my victorious V's? Ready, Gibson, crystal, all the rest of you guys with way, way too many names for me to list? It's funny how many people were active posters last year and how many were excited and motivated. How can we get that enthusiam back? I know I want it back. Whether you lost 20, 50, 100 pounds I bet you'd like to do it again this year. Let's go! We really can do it again.
-
Dang Lil, I'm impressed. You really have quite a packed workout schedule there. I'm just gonna have to work in a walk in the mid-morning or afternoon until it gets light again at 6AM. I really like walking in my neighborhood. I get into a dreamy spaced out place and I'm done before I know it. Glad you guys are here. It's so much nicer when there's more of us for support. Yay! Off to workout now.
-
Just getting ready to do my workout. Posting here so that I'll make sure I get it done. I really need to find a place to get a walk in during each day too. I'll find it, just need to get a good fit for my routine. It's too dark out in the morning now to do it after I workout. Sounds like everyone is doing really well. Yay us!!! I have a doctor's appt today and I think he'll be really happy that I managed to lose a couple pounds over Christmas and New Year's instead of gaining. Woo hoo!!
-
I did yesterday and today. And believe me, if it weren't for the need to post here I wouldn't have exercised today. Thanks guys for helping me stay accountable. Yay Tap! Glad to see you back on the exercise bandwagon.

Countdown to your Bandiversary!

I know you can do it Tap. I've seen you tame the nut habit better than any other. You just needed to get through the funk stage. I think you're there or very close now. I can hear it in your posts. I think I'm there too so I'll help keep you motivated to the best of my abilities. You're the best! Thanks for getting us all going again. I love having all of you guys to talk to about this lovely journey we're on. Thanks.
