Yep Shiny, hang in there. It will certainly move down for you again. You've done a fantastic job already. Your body just needs a chance to adjust to the changes. Got my fingers crossed for your hubby and hope you hear soon. Stress is a very tough one to deal with now that we've taken away one of our coping mechanisms.

Dang Tap, you're as bad as me. I've been up since 4:45 and it's now 5:45 and the sun is just starting to come up but not light enough to walk yet. So I guess I'll play on the computer. LOL Really, I'll do that after I do my workout here in a minute. I have a doctor's appointment this morning so I'll find out how much I lost this month. I think it's only about 6 pounds. And I know that's okay but it's about half of what I used to lose a month.

Tap - Those are both absolutely beautiful. I really love the pine tree one.

Good to hear from you again. Sounds like you're actually doing well. Mine has slowed down a lot too and it seems like it's been pretty common for us VVs right now. You're so close to your goal. Congrats!

Well, mine is physical healthy but far from sane, I'm sure. -
... I fainted. Woke up laying on the kitchen floor. Not sure what happened but I feel just fine now. Maybe a bit weak but I didn't get much sleep last night. I have a doctor's appointment in an hour just to check things out. Anyone else have this happen or know if it could be band related at all? I'm thinking low blood sugar but really have no idea.

Sounds fun. I used to cross stitch but then it got uncomfortable on my wrist and I got old lady eyes. You'll have to post a picture of one on Ready's art thread.
-
Wow Tap! I am impressed. You have definitely shown you are the right person to lead us. That's amazing and inspiring willpower. Congrats! What cha making? I really need to get busy with Christmas stuff too. I have no idea what I'm getting for anyone this year.

No worries. Doesn't bother me at all. Bound to happen with limited choices. Right now a nap sounds sooooooo good. Just might do it too.

Gonna post here though I feel like I eat a bunch compared to most I've read. Figure it might help others to know they aren't alone. I try to eat healthy (though today isn't the healthiest) but steady. Fun thread too, can't believe I just found it now. Yesterday - B- lite lemon yogurt, sugar free vanilla iced coffee 2nd B (I feel like a hobbit) - 2 scrambled eggs with a small bit of gyro meat, tomato, mushroom and chevre cheese L- thin slice of pork roast, 2/3 cup brussel sprouts S - 7 strawberries D- pot roast (about 3 oz of beef with parsnips, rutabegas, turnips, carrots, potatos, mushrooms and onion), half a brioche with a small bit of butter S - ice cream (my planned once a week give in to my addiction)

I was banded the month after you and I've had 5 fills. I have just now reached a good restriction point with my band. There are a couple women in my month group that have had only a couple fills too and they are struggling. Hang in there and hopefully you can talk your doctor into being a bit more aggressive with the fills. Good luck.

Welcome Geena! I'm sure you're gonna love this place as much as I do. It's a fabulous spot for ideas, entertainment and inspiration. And if you have a question, you're sure to find the answer here. Enjoy!

I lost a pound and a half this week...finally. I've been bouncing up and down a few pounds and it finally started dropping again a few days ago and I'm pretty stable now. I have a doctor's appointment in a couple days and am hoping for a very tiny fill. Usually the day on full liquids and the very tight week that follows gives me a few pounds off. With exercise, I've upped it a bit. I went from a consistant 20 minutes a day to a pretty stable 30 minutes a day. Trying really hard to get it to 45 minutes but that has been tough. Think it will be a piece of cake once our weather drops below the 100s. Then I'll be able to walk on my breaks at work and that will add 10-20 minutes a day. Hubby and I can also take a good walk at night. Boy, oh boy am I looking forward to fall.

How are you guys coming along? I did well this last week over all. I did eat ice cream last night but it was intentional. I had decided that Saturday would be my ice cream night so I went ahead and had some last night. I've been okay since banishing the mint chips from the house. Guess it's not ice cream itself that I'm addicted to, it's the stupid mint. Tap - How were the nuts? And how is that one week chip? I have faith you made it. SNT, Ready and Glou - You guys hanging in there? Doing well?

Too cool. Gotta love when the giant parrots attack.

April!!!! How's it going? Hope you're doing well. I'm doing just fine now. No more fainting for me, I hope. I also got the results of the scan back and my brain looks good. Yay. I have a fill appointment on Tuesday. Think I'm just gonna get a very, very tiny fill since I have pretty good restriction now and I don't want to be too tight. We'll see what happens then though I'm sure everything will be just fine. -
Anyone else play any online games? We just started the open beta for Warhammer Online last night. Seems pretty fun so far. Both my husband and I have played many games over the last 10 years including DAoC, SWG, DragonRealms, AoC to mention a few.
-
I played both WoW and Everquest for a while too. Several others but nothing held me like Dark Age of Camelot, which we both, hubby and I, played for over 6 years. No other game has had the same level of complexity and subtle nuances. Warhammer is by Mythic too so I have high hopes for it. It did take me two full days to get up and running too. Though things are much better now. Had a friend download it late last night and his finished in a couple hours. They must have given it more server space. Ready, let me know if you ever get that computer up to par and start playing.

I agree with you Tap. My spoons of ice cream would have become scoops too and basically did. Most stuff I can eat and move on, no problem. Not so with that frozen, creamy deliciousness. Anyway, day 3 down for me. Feels good to be on the right track again. And even if I don't make it 7 days (which I will this time!), I've still cut way down from every night. Yay! You should get a chip/coin thingy Tap. You're 7 day chip. hehehe
-
Tap - You're a great chair. I wonderful inspiration. You're gonna be the first one to make it a whole week. Yay you!!!! Glou - Way to go! LOL to you again. Dang hubbys, always ruining the fun. Ready - You're doing so well on the smoking thing. That's 10 kajillion times harder than the ice cream. Best part is you're thru the really, really hard part. Just don't let yourself get relaxed about it and you'll be fine now. SNT - How'd you do? Sending resist-temptation waves your way. Hell, I'm gonna send them everywhere and hope they engulf me too.
-
I thought I was just more aware of it now and that was why I thought there seemed to be more. Guess not. We know of 3 people with brain cancer now and before knew none. My husband thinks it's the Bluetooth devices. Could be that or the artificial sweetners. I really don't know and wish I did. By the way, I made it thru another night without the ice cream. Yay!
-
He's doing okay. He amazes me with how well he has handled this whole brain cancer thing. I, on the other hand, took the day off today cause I was up crying most of the night. Think I've worked thru it now though. He keeps me going and keeps my spirits up most of the time. LOL - love your style SNT. I say "Do it! Do it!".
-
Loved it! Sad to see that the kind of stupidity I've seen in my life seems to exist all over. I would have loved to have been in Michael's when you quit via intercom. LOL
-
I made it through the night too. Woo Hoo!!! Thanks for the prayers Tap. Greatly appreciated. And yeah, they did discuss it with us. Right now we have to wait 5 weeks to do another MRI just to be certain it's regrowth. They they will increase the frequency of the chemo he's on now and add a clinical trial drug. It's showing great promise so that's good.

Congrats to both of you! Once of my goals is to way less than the hubby. I'm only 30 pounds off now. So I bet it felt great to get in his pants. Tee Hee.
