Hey all. Just found out I’m 4 weeks pregnant! Yayyyyyy. Had my surgery May 26, down 65 pounds. Although this will be my 5th child, it will be my first child/pregnancy since having VSG. My first pregnancy was the easiest (as in no morning sickness or other issues) and my last three were rough. Any suggestions on prenantal pills that won’t make me nauseous or gag? I have always had problems with the huge pink prenatal pills and usually take the gummy ones. I haven’t had my first dr visit yet (I literally took two tests and each was positive), but I want to get started on the pills immediately. Of course I will requesting more advice from an nutritionist and ob/gyn dr when I see them but would love any suggestions regarding the pills (or any other advice/blessings/prayers) you may have. I had a miscarriage last year of twins so I’m really praying for a smooth pregnancy and happy healthy baby. Thanks

Hello all. I can appreciate all of your comments. I had my surgery 5/26/17 and haven't had a period yet. I'm so worried but not pregnant. Looking for normalcy. Any thoughts? -
The suspense is killing me! Any recommendations for preparation, mentally?

I love it! Lol -
Hey all. My BMI is 37 and I weigh about 213. According to my insurance, my sleeve surgery won't be covered because I don't have any comorbidies. I am paying out of pocket for the surgery. I need your support. How was your experience with weight lose at this weight?

Self Pay Surgery Requirements
Puppy200101 replied to FLBoyMom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello. I plan on self paying and having surgery in TJ, Mexico. They have emailed me instructions (in booklet form) and have great communication. I have had consultations in the US also and using all info from those doctors to make the best decision regarding my pre and post op diet. Different doctors have different requirements so I'm doing what I feel is best for me. Also, I was able to set my own date for the surgery (especially since I'm self paying). -

Hey all. So during the clear liquid phase, is it safe/ok to have liquid vitamins/b-12/iron? -
May Sleevers in Mexico?
Puppy200101 replied to BigDaddy13's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
May 26th at Trinity Medical. I'm super excited/nervous/anxious. I told my older sister and it didn't go well. This site and my hubby are my support. -
I'm soooo nervous. I will give a short summary of my life. I am a mother of four. My BMI is 38. My weight varies between 210-215. I have decided to pay for the gastric sleeve as Kaiser will not cover it. I have researched many dr and gone to several consultations. ibhave many questions for those who have already had the surgery. First, the pre-surgery liquid diet. One. Of the Dr's I saw recommended that I complete only a one Day liquid diet prior to surgery. Another recommended a 5 day. What are your thoughts? Second, how soon do you recommend I drive after surgery? I'm not a fan of pain meds so I will probably only have them in the hospital so I am not concerned about being 'under the influence'. I will most likely drive myself home and take breaks every 30-45 minutes. (The hospital I plan on going to is about 2 1/2 hours away from my home.) Third, post-op, I will be doing a liquid diet as suggested. Any thoughts on a great Liquid Protein drink. I'm considered Isopure for the clear liquid phase and a powdered Protein for the full liquid phase. I have a million more questions but I will start with those. Any encouragement will help. Thank you.

Please help! I'm nervous....

Thanks everyone! By the way, I tried Isopure zero carb alpine punch today. It was aweful! I'm going to try a few different ones until the big day. I will also try to get to all of your suggestions. I just learned that premier protein also makes a clear fruit punch flavored protein drink. When I looked online, I only saw it at Sam's club. Has anyone tried it? -

Yes, I do have help with the kiddies so I'm not worried about that. I also have a plan if there are complications. Thank you also for your comments on the protein shakes/powders. I will start trying different types. Thank you!
