Dealing with an unsupportive husband...help!
Browneyes58 replied to jessgnc's topic in Rants & Raves
It's about you! Men do get scared and insecure you know. He may be afraid about the surgery itself and then he may become insecure because of the weight-loss. I was worried about my husband being insecure, but he has amazed me. When I first approached him with the surgery, he was not happy about it at all. He went to the orientation with me and after listening, he got on board with the ideal. I weight, at that time 325 lbs. He was there for every visit, he was there for the surgery and he remains supportive. Insecure? No, he loves what is happening to my body; as a matter of fact I cant keep his hands off of me. Give your husband some time He has to get use to the changes that are about to take place -
Happy Suriversary! You are doing an amazing job.....I wish I could see your most recent picture better because it's a little dark. We have made transformations and sometimes it hard changing from what we are use to. I'm approaching my 2nd year in October...I still have a ways to go until I get to my goal weight, but I have no regrets. Love the new you! You are so worth it girl! Congratulations again

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Browneyes58 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I can relate to you regarding your pain. I use to hate to get up in the morning because as soon as my feet would hit the floor, I was feeling the weight on my feet, and legs. I was so miserable and unhappy. WLS was the best thing I cold have every done. -
What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Browneyes58 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My straw that broke the camel back was watching Dr. Nowzardin and people on the show that were obese. I heard their pleas and saw myself as these people saw themselves. I thought about how I felt going up stair and barely being able to breathe. I saw myself for the first time in a mirror..........I mean really saw myself and I remember crying out that I was tired of being fat and out of shape. Then I saw an advertisement on a commercial with Alexian Brothers about Weight Loss Surgery and that was the beginning of a new day for me. It was the best decision I could have made because it allowed me to take back my life!
