Weigh in: UGH! No change.

I'm with you, I'm just not one for large crowds. The DH my daughter and my brother inlaw spent the day on the boat fishing and tubing which can be quite a workout depending on whose driving the boat. came back home grilled out and took a swim, We had a really nice day. A little too much sun but nothing I can't deal with. We live in a small town so even though we are out in the country we could still see the fireworks from the house well, kinda through the trees and in the distance but I still enjoyed them. It's really hard to beleave that we are all coming up on our 2yr banderversary.

Hummm! I'll give it some thought. Hope everyone had a fantastic 4th!! For me it was Wonderful.

I hate panic attacks, I always say if I ever have a heart attack I will most likely stand there and die because I would just assume it's another panic attact. I've had them most of my life, but they are better then they use to be. About 12 years ago I didn't leave the house for 3 years because I had them so bad, That's really when I gained most of my weight. TATS- I have 11 of them, on my arms I have a fallen Angel(for a dearly missed friend) a humming bird, rose around my wrist, teddy bear laying in a half moon with my first granddaughters name over it(Tyra) a lillie on my shoulder for my daughters grandmother(Lillie Mae) she just passed in March, A baby tiger on the other shoulder, Lizzard on my other arm No meaning, rose on one calf and a dragon on the other and a couple of others with no special meaning plus my eye liner is tatooed on. Did I mention my son does tatoos lol Sorry yor bandaversary wasn't what you were looking for but put it behind you and make this your year!!

The optifast are good but just to pricey for me so I go to Sam's or Walmart and get the EAS carb control and sometimes the Atkins, I really like them both and they don't break the bank.

Some updates, The one i'm holding is my youngest granddaughter and the other little girl my Daughter babysits. Still no waistline to speak of but I think this is about as good as it's gonna get. I'm not complaining i'm quite pleased with the loss and feel so much better. Charlene, Sorry your weekends a washout but maybe ya'll could have a nice cozy weekend togather! Hope it dries up soon.

I agree, Blaze you are doing fantastic!! How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? I''m just trying to get an idea of everyones goal. Charlene, at least your getting your exercise in. The most I get these days is swimming 3 to 4 days a week, and I must admit I end up doing more floating then swimming so I'm almost sure it doesn't count. I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!!! HAPPY 4th:thumbup:

Tuesday weigh in and no change. Guess I figured that, it was a fustrating week and the box of junior mints I ate at Toy story 3 didn't help. Oh well, better luck next week. Howa bout you ladies?

Feeling a whole lot better now thanks everyone!!!!

Thx girls, Not to be to gross but I pushed on the roof of my mounth last night(because it hurt to much to sleep) and a pea size ball (weird) came out and it has been draining since, I don't care what that Doctor said I know it was infected, it taste terrible but feels so so much better. Now it feels like a tooth that was pulled instead of feeling like my face is going to explode, just normal understandable pain now. Thanks for letting me vent yesterday it helped to get it out, if I didn't I think I would have gone insane. Did pretty good on the payroll considering. But payed one poor guy for 3 1/2 hours instead of 33 1/2 hours. Caught it this morning and have to cut a seperate check for what we still owe him. LOL

Anyone on here have Breast Augmentation before being banded?
kimaly replied to soocalchic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had a lift prior to banding and implants about 5 months after banding. No problem with them holding up, I'm quite pleased with the way they look. I have 550cc's in each and other then them looking large now because I'm smaller they're great. I learned a DD on a size 22/24 looks way different then they do on a size 5/6. but I have no waistline so it draws the attention off that LOL. -
PROTEIN - Shakes vs Solid Food
kimaly replied to Drasan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink low carb protein shakes for breakfist and lunch and eat lean meat (mostly fish) and some vegs for dinner and if needed I have another later in the evening. I'm not hungry so I don't see the problem. -
The fact that you can't wait to get back to your exercise is impressive enough for me. I still can't get into it. Thank Heavens it's summer because I swim a lot. Other then that i'm terrible at it. Well on my end of things I found a way to do the shake thing: I had a tooth pulled yesterday and it hurts like h*ll but on the bright side I have NO desire for food LOL I"ve had teeth pulled in the past but they always gave me something for pain, other then numbing it when she pulled it Nada, nothing:ohmy: and it is killing me. I called her this morning and she told me to take a coated aspirin:cursing: and I'd be ok in a couple of days. Are you kidding me? it was a top wisdom tooth and seemed to be in there pretty good by the way she had to work to get it out. Maybe i'm just being a big baby but it's hard to work when you hurt this much and I'm trying to cut everyones paycheck Ummm, Not a good thing.

My Tuesday weigh in and no change to report. Becca, I'm really glad you found the thread. Like I told you on the other one these are a great bunch of girls and will push you when you need it or hold your cyber hand if that's all you need. GREAT having ya!!!!:smile2:

I've lost exactly 100lbs I only have 2 more to goal but everyday still seems to be a struggle. I wish my spouse was into fitness maybe that would push me but as much as I love the hubby he's a couch potato. The most he does is drive the boat on sundays, he thinks fishing is his weekly activity LOL I'm not much better when it comes to exercise I just start and stop over and over again. We have a July master thread where those of us that are still trying to get to our goal or just support one another keep in touch, There's only about 4 or 5 of us out of more then 100 that still go there but it really helps me. We were all banded July of 08 and would love to have you join us. Just go to the search and punch in July master Thread and it should come up if you want too. You won't be the only one that has gotten off track and are trying to get back on I promise just come by and introduce yourself they are a great bunch of girls and will welcome you with open arms.

Hi Becca, glad to have you here on LBT. It can be a great support system. I also love to cook and bake and even banded I still do so but I just don't do it for myself anymore I cook for my DH and pawn a lot off on the kids and grandkids. I always tell the DH I eat vicariously through them. Sad but true the whole time they are eating I ask if it's good how it taste what else I might could put in it to make it better. It's a bad habit but at least I'm not eating it. I was also banded 2yrs ago on July 22 and think I should have lost a little faster but I'm terrible when it comes to exercise. Start and stop, just can't seem to keep it going. I'm losing though and they say slow and steady wins the race. Good luck on your journey. Never make a sad face when saying you've lost 100lbs that's a great feat and you should be proud of yourself. I know I am. So instead of a sad face I'm gonna give you a  WTG!

PLATEAU!!! How many of hit a plateau at approximately 1 year out?
kimaly replied to ShelleyB's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Maybe you were tight enough before the tweek. And sometimes it just takes a little time for a fill to settle in. When eating go very very slow and don't take bites bigger then a pencil eraser. If that doesn't work go back to the Doctor and have that .25 taken back out. sometimes when your to tight you just don't lose how many liquid calories are you taking in? Is it close to your period because a lot of people are tight at time of the month. You shouldn't be miserable. Don't rush the scale it will move, try a weekly weigh in instead of every couple of days. -
I'm interested!! I think it's a great idea. Anyone else?
-
If you find any other support groups PLEASE let me know. I have been looking for almost 2 years. I was banded in Mexico so no one will except me in the support groups around here. I've found you can't even pay them to let you in.
-
LOL, I would love a pita but my band HATES any type of bread. Once in awhile a manage a half a wrap but it's a guessing game as too when my band will except it. But WOW that sounded great. I eat so much fish these days I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up one morning and sprouted fins. Pretty much gave up the chicken since you told me about the hormones, It just doesn't appeal to me.
-
WOO HOO! Charlene, I know your glad to have some real food. Your better then me, I tried the shake & jello thing last week and I didn't make it 2 days before I gave in. Made me wonder how I did it the first 6 weeks. I guess it was the fear of messing up my band because I sure didn't make it this time. Anyway I'm really happy for you.
-
That's really great, I'm glad all went well. I know your excited to get back on track. Hope your not to sore and have a safe trip home.
-
I think your right you might just need to switch it up a little.
-
I would wonder how his fill was done, Did the Doctor use fluro? Because I don't get fluro with my fills because the fill center I use doesn't have one so the Doctor has to go by my judgement of what feels like restriction without being to tight. I did over do it once and was very sick from it not to be gross but I couldn't even swallow my own salava :scared2:I can't ever remember feeling so terrible and I got a slight unfil the next day and all was well. The reason I point this out is because if he's not getting the fluro the Doctor can only go by what we tell them and it's still hard for me to tell sometimes so now I just get small fills after that bad one I just walk on the side of caution. Hope all turns out well for your friend.

PLATEAU!!! How many of hit a plateau at approximately 1 year out?
kimaly replied to ShelleyB's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm almost 2yrs out but when I hit my first year I hit a plateau and had to fight for any type of loss for about 5 1/2 mo. I got a fill in Jan. and have averaged about a pound a week since and I'm just starting to slow down again but I'm only 2lbs from goal so I really don't mind as long as this 2lbs is gone by my bandaversary. Maybe you need a little tweek!
