I had surgery in Mexico 5 days ago, my Dr. gave me a US office # just in case. Maybe you could ask your Dr.

Hi, just wanted to join the winey babies. 5 days post op and my port area is sore as doo doo, hurts to bend, move to fast,cough, sneeze, or laugh oh! and up and down is no breeze eather. :tt2: speedy recovery to all

I'm glad you asked this question, I was banded on 7/22 and my port site is sore as doo doo. no other pain except a little gas that I can handle. But was worried about the port no reddness or anything just sore and a little ache. if others are going through it to I guess it's normal, also still on pain meds.

Thumbs up to EAS, I bought strawberry sorbert unjury and i can bearly get past the smell and it taste just like it smells. :thumbup:

Just a follow-up, I just got back from Juarez and thought you might like to know Dr.Rod, his team, the hospital and Beliteweight (Jessica) were great. can't find one negitive thing to say. Good luck on your journey. PS no car jacking.

Back from Mexico, surgery went great. Can't begin to explain how great it feels to be on this side of it. For all the butterflies that will be going in this comming week, Good luck and can't wait for ya'll to join us. And wishing everyone a speedy recovery :)

1st: If they are your friends they'll be there for you if not replace them with positive people. 2nd: Girl don't let your size be a factor, go take what you want. Just make sure it's what you really want

lynlynkr, 3 days out and you can already eat? my Doc has me doing 1 wk clear liquids, and 1 wk reg liqiuids, then mushies. He says it's to let everything heal. i've already done my pre-op liquid diet with one more day to go, It's been hard but I surprised myself. anyway good luck to you, can't wait to be on your side of it.

i'm getting banded in mexico on 7/22, guess I got lucky, ther's a fill center usa not to far from my home. they had no problem setting me up so when i'm ready they'll be there for me.

Welcome, your in for an exciting journey, and sometimes nerve racking but everyone is here to walk you through it. good luck and congrats on making this life changing decision

mmmmmmm, garlic bread! I don't get banded until 7/22 but gave up bread 3mo ago, Yep, garlic bread is what I miss the most. :thumbup:

YaYA, please don't get mad, most of us just think it's funny. it's not a shot at you. I just think everyone here just doesn't want to spread unnessary fear. some people beleave everything they hear and it wouldn't be fair to classify all surgery in Mexico or anywhere else for that matter like that. When you start a thread you open yourself up to everyones opinion sorry to say i think it's pretty childish to get mad when you hear something you don't like. you can agree or disagree but no need to get angry.

If that is true i should be happy as hell right now, i'm in the middle of liquid pre-op. I sure thought all this happiness would feel differant. but it's a lovely thought.

I can't beleave you would just beleave it to be true without question. oh, I have an island for sale really really cheap if your interested.(Oops i'm sorry that was just hateful) pre-op diet no food, must be getting to me.

Thx Lisa and Lynn for the updates and congrats on your surgery going well, I have 5 more days and I can bearly stand the wait. Please keep us updated on your progress.
