Yes, that's how I'm feeling (disporportionant) I guess this to will pass. My Doctor said most people lose weight from the head down but it seems to have missed my belly. although my feet are getting thiner.

Alright Ladies, Are any of you having this problem? I'm losing the weight in my breast that I can't afford because I had a breast reduction a while back and in my already non existant(sp?) butt. which is making my stomach look bigger(also had tt a few years ago)so it's not like it was a big old beer belly or anything. but it's starting to look like it. and i'm having a hard time finding clothes for the office that look good.

It's not an intrusion, and welcome to the club. Both clubs. my 40's have been great, wouldn't trade them. good luck on your surgery. I was also self pay and don't regret one penny of it.

I'm also an everyday mineral user. and started with bare minerals then raw mineral. but like the price of the everyday better. I don't have the problem with it caking up, It feels so much lighter and i'm a dye hard make-up user(although I like it to look natural)

This is cute thx, I'm between a five gallon bottle of water or human leg and an elphants heart. I'm glad you posted this it puts the weight loss in perspective(sp?) can you imagen carrying around a 5 gallon bottle of water all day? wow!
-
Well I can't really feel you because I've always been really honest about my weight even at my highest weight. people pretty much know what your weight is and I sure wouldn't want them to think I was a lier on top of being fat. with that being said I think you should tell and be proud It's a great acomplisment and you deserve the praise. Besides you don't weigh that now so what's to be embarrassed about?
-
Hun, It gets better. you need to realize you haven't had a fill yet. I was told over and over again that this is the healing stage, If you lose weight in it it's a plus Your real weight loss will come when you start getting your fills. for now don't worry just heal and remember slow and steady wins the race.

So happy for you. I know it feels great, keep up the good work. -
Same to you! And thx to everyone.

Well, this morning I was excited to see I'm only 10lbs away from onderland, just ten! I know it will be at least another month or so before I can get there but it's exciting to know it's so close, I haven't been there in at least 10 years.
-
Well put! and I think this is a fair and reasonable way to go about it.

Here's how it works:a waitress is taxed on the $2.15 she makes an hour and is then responsable for claiming her tips which is also taxed if you do not turn in a weekly tip amount you are taxed on 15% of your total food sales and when you report your weekly tip amount it has to be at least 15% of the total sales if not they will go by total food sales so eather way you cut it your taxed on that % and I don't beleave it is state wide I'm almost sure it's a fed. thing, ask the servers you work around if they are required to claim they're tips, you might be surprized. larger tips you get from good tables make up for the bad tippers and the no tippers but is it fare the server should have to balance her tips like that? I'm sure that was not the intention of the good tipper(to make up for the bad ones)
-
Understandable, I myself am like that. If the service is not up to par I leave less of a tip then I would have if it a been good service. If it is bad service I let them and management know. I guess some people don't realize a waitress has to pay taxes on 15% of the food they serve.

What does it take to stretch your band out?
kimaly replied to BeckyinTn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can only tell you what I was told by my Doctor, before my 1st fill I was not to eat more then 1 cup and after my fill it's only 1/2 to 1/3 of a cup at each meal with no snacking and 3 meals a day.Hope this helps -
Well I'm a retired Hairdresser and I think it's rude not to tip. Most hairdressers don't own the salon they work in and only get a small percent of what the service cost. It's not an easy job and they need the tip to make the job even worth working and I don't know about you but when someone takes a pair of shears to my head I hope they're doing they're best and not thinking you cares they don't tip anyways. I tip everyone well from waitresses to bellboys These are the people that are the back bone of this country. you know what I'm saying:hard working, and doing what they can so you can have a good experance in what ever your doing. If these types of people were making a decent wage they wouldn't need the tip but then the cost of your service would be alot higher and you would be complaining about that. and to answer the question about 20% is standard.Sorry if this upsets anyone it is not my intention(sp?)I just want you to understand how it feels to be on the other side. If you didn't get the wage you receive now and were making $2.15 an hour and depended on tips to help feed your family and you did your best and the person just got up and left think about what you would be thinking of them. and the type of service you'ld want to give them the next time they came in

I know what your saying about paying so much, I had to hand them $7000.00 in one hunk(self pay) but it helps keep me motivated. so I guess it wasn't such a bad thing. And also know what your saying about the calorie intake, I'll catch myself watching other people eat and can't beleave how much they shove in and knowing I was doing the same thing WOW. It's amazing how little food we really need.

Thx to all, and orea don't worry your weight loss begins now. I'm glad everyones fills are going well. Even with the weight loss I've had I can really tell the differance in the things I can do. As far as walking and keeping up with my DH. He said this week end was the first time he didn't have to slow down to wait on me, I was waiting on him to catch up. Man, that really feels good! :cool2:

Well I got my second fill yesterday, and I wanted restriction boy did I get it. she took me from 3.6 to 4.8, it seemed fine at Doc's office but about 3 hours later I couldn't even swallow my own salava(SP?) I live an hour away and by the time I got hold of someone the office was closed. Man you talk about a horible night no sleep and kept vomiting all night. finely got to get some taken out, she went down to 4.4 and man what a major differance fluids are still going down slow but they're going down so for now I would say restriction has been met. Now the rest of the work is up to me. Oh, and still a little worried I might have to much. I guess time will tell

There are a lot of threads on it, look up ticker in the search box. I would tell you but I just got lucky getting mine up there and had to have someone walk me thru it. good luck and congrats on the weight loss your doing fantastic.

How much have you lost July Butterfllies??
kimaly replied to lotzasunshine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That's a great way to look at it, I've only lost 24lbs since my band date(the other 13lbs was on 2wk pre-op) but I go for my second fill today and am really wanting good restriction, needless to say. these people that have lost 50 or so lbs already, I wonder what they are doing that I'm not. I'm truely happy for them but would like to join them. I guess in the end I'll meet up with um and should just be happy to be one of the losers. I'm still optimistic and hoping we all have better stats next week. I have all intentions of meeting my goal by april. good luck to all!! -

Well, had my weekly weigh in today and i'm down 1 more lb. That's good and i'll take it considering we were out of town this weekend and ate out breakfist, lunch and dinner for the last 3 days.(must have been all the walking) I get my 2nd fill tuesday and I'm glad. I've lost 9lbs since my last fill (that will be 4wks on tuesday) so I guess I'm right on track, because they said they wanted to see 8 to 10lbs a month. Yeah me!! and Yeah to all of you that have met your goal this month

I would call your Doc, better safe then sorry. I know every Doc is differant, but mine told me to avoid corn, it doesn't digest well and it's high in starch

So sorry to hear of your troubles, and also sorry I'm unable to help you out but I don't know why or how it happens. But wanted to send you best wishes anyway.
