this might be a dumb question but here goes: do you heat the ham or do you serve them cold?

Is it the same as a lympknot? or are you saying it just where you hold a lot of weight? and don't feel bad, it may make your butt look flat but when you lose your weight you'll have one again. I on the other hand have a flat butt and the more I lose the flatter it looks or should I say gets and I know nothing about the part of the butt that sticks out. I just go from my neck to my ankles. my DH says I have a back with a crack in it. (that even sounds unattractive)

how long to get nicotin out of ones blood
kimaly replied to bethw66's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes they can test for nicotin in your system, I had a breast reduction last march and my surgeon did test for it, It takes about 72 hrs to get out of your system. Although my lapband surgeon did not test for it and I smoked the morning of surgery and the day after (not recamended sp?) If your Doc. does test it could cause your surgery to be postponed. -
Pre Op fasting question please help
kimaly replied to thinkingslim70's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm no Doctor But you should have a empty tummy. I can just tell you what they told me: nothing after 7:00 am and only liquids before that, after midnight. You don't want to vomit durring surgery. That's the point of not eating right before, The shrinking of the liver is the pre-op diet not the eating right before surgery. as with any surgery you are not to eat before. It can cause your surgery to be postponed. A peice of toast is not worth it -

We all get in those moods ladies but it to will pass, as soon as you have your next victory you'll be shouting from the roof tops. trust me it comes and goes. Keep your spirits up because we all know what depression can do to us. And sunshine, you are the one that made me feel better the last time I was feeling that way with the comparing the photos of where I started and where I am now. -
Joyful, I'm really excited for you. And I watch Big Medicine, I think it's ok to get the band at that weight. (stop it in it's tracks). I wish I could have gotten it before I got so big, then I wouldn't have had so much to lose and I would have been a lot healthier a lot sooner. some people will disagree with me but I also beleave the band is a great way to control weight gain in those who have a issues with it. I don't think people at a good weight should get it just to maintain. You should have some sort of weight issues. and to your question about getting use to the life style change:I think everyone is different, It's upto 2 years for your weightloss but I'm really ok with the lifestyle change already. I was really ready for this surgery and the changes I've made in my life haven't bothered me. The band just made it possible. Some people never get use to it. They are the ones that want their bands removed at no fault of the band and you here them always say my band is not working and truth be told they are not working their band. Hope this helps. And once again congrats!

Thank you but no. when I got there he had me down for a needle biopsy in his office and then they relized they needed to do it under ultra sound so I have to go back tuesday morning I wasn't sure what the heck they're talking about all I know is I'm still waiting. he said I'll have the results by next thursday or friday. Thank you for your concern.

OH, and congrats what an amazing weight loss

I'm going through that. My last fill was so tight and now I really feel like I need one. I could eat more then I do. I'm told 3/4 of a cup and now I stop at 1 cup, But I have to wait for my fill because I have some other things going on right now. I am down 3 or 4 lbs and then back up and then back down. It takes 3 or so wks for a weight to stick for me. It's starting to drive me MAD.

Thank you all!!

You go girl! it's an amazing amount of weight to lose. can you imagine picking up 80lbs and hauling it around all day, just doesn't seem possible does it?
-
Thanks Donna, I am.

Joyful, You said 9 fills but you didn't say how many cc's you have. And orea, welcome back. Hope your DH finds something soon. Donna, Congrats on the fill. I'm hoping to get one soon but for now I have a lump in my breast and after the ultra sound now I have to have a biopsy tomarrow and they asked me to wait until they know whats going on. so i'm just trying to stay calm and in control of my food intake, you know that emotional eating thing alot of us have. anyway it's nice to see so many people comming back here and posting.

I was like that after my 2nd fill, now I just can't eat so early in the morning. But things seem to go down much better in the afternoon. If it keeps it up you might want to get a slight unfill.

Turkey Day Survival Poll
kimaly replied to HeatherO's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
even after all that cooking and baking I feel I did fantastic, 5 shrimp (no sauce or butter) and 1 bite of hubby's turkey. OH, and a protein bar in the morning and at lunch -
I'm really proud of myself, all that good food and all that cooking and I only ate 5 shrimp and a bite of turkey. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be and I get to change my ticker today. Boy that's a first for me, losing weight during the holidays
