LMAO, Try a shaping cami with high rise shaper panties and you'll still be the cutest thing. Works for me, as long as I use the mirror in the living room. It doesn't show my thighs

The self image issues, Do you know where they're comming from? I know the ones I have are from loose skin. But on the bright side I look pretty good with my clothes on. And girl, Celebrate! We all need a brake once in awhile. We're having our dinner Christmas eve when the grandbabies come over to open gifts. I'm just making a big pot of New England clam chowder and scallops wrapped in bacon and some healthy finger foods.

Nothing new to report but don't want the thread to die so I thought I would just stop in and say hi! But next week this time I am going to report a loss. I am going to bust butt this week to break this plateau. I'm busy working on my happy dance now. I like to be prepared.

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

I have to say GO LIZ, I know a lot of people on this thread don't seem to like her but she has a kind heart. You can tell by the way she gave Danny her home video and the way she hung with him on that run to make sure he made it. And I have to say a women that is almost 50 years old and weighed over 200 lbs just 11 wks ago not only running a marathon but finishing it is amazing
  5. Wow, 115? that's tiny. If you don't mind me asking: How tall are you?
  6. Spanx, Awww! a womans secret to the mud flap thighs. I love spanx. Their a control garmet with women in mind, made for comfort. Google them and you can order them on line or lane Bryant carries them. I order mine on line because by the grace of God I no longer fit lane Bryant's sizes. (WOO HOO) sorry, just makes me happy when I think about it. I love when I get my old plus size catalogs and I get to tell my DH to toss them because they don't have anything I can wear. Once again sorry, forgot what the topic was. Guess I need to post that on the non scale victory thread.
  7. CONGRATS!!!! You can't see me but I'm doing one hell of a happy dance for you. Keep up the great work!:tongue2:

    Totally disgusted

I have to agree your in bandster hell, this to will pass. But on the other hand I really can't stand when I hear people that just got their band say it's not working and they want it out. I would hope you were well informed when you got your band and understood it is hard work the people on this forum that are or have lost the weight are not the ones sitting around just waiting for the band to work. They are working also. We all have our ups and downs, Like right now I swear I'm on the never ending platue but I will get past it. The band is not for those who want the magic skinny pill. It's for those that have come to realize they have to get this weight off and are willing to make life style changes. The band is just a tool, Only you are in control of what you do with it. I wish you the best and maybe you could use a mentour(sp?) There are some really kind people on LBT that are more then willing to give up some of their time and wisdom to help those that are struggling. Good luck, and I hope it gets better for you soon.

I also use to love a good Budweiser but haven't had one since I got banded, not so much to do with the cals but the carbination so when ever that blue moon appears I will have a couple of vodka and cranbarry or a bloody mary. once in a while I think is ok but get past the healing stage first.

    Great Food Finds

I love them. So easy and taste great. I take them to work and wrap um up in wax paper and nuk um. Fast and good. I also like the Special K crackers I mix white flake tuna with mustard instead of mayo and put it on the crackers. I know it doesn't sound good but it really is.
  11. I had a Breast lift March 08 and had my LAP-BAND® 4 months later in July. The Dr. took me from a DD to a B/C cup. I went back in Jan. and had implants put in because the top of my breast was still kinda flat, I'm now a 38 full D. I still have to lose some weight and have my implants for a year this Jan. and I love my breast. they are the only thing that really looks good in my opinion. The rest of me has a lot of lose skin but the girls are kickin! I really think your PS could guild you on this because everyone is different but I'm glad I had mine done it helps me to still feel a little sexy behind the bat wing arms and mud flap thighs.:tongue2:
  12. I think the set up was around $350 or $385 I can't quite remember and $160.00 a fill and Dr. Harris is great. She is a really nice lady and I never feel a thing. She will also give what you need instead of nursing each fill so you don't have to go as often. I've had 4 fills in 17 months.

    Low carb BBQ sause

Here is my favorite low carb BBQ sauce recipe: 1 cup prepared yellow mustard 1/2 cup granular no-calorie sucralose sweetener (e.g., Splenda ®) 3/4 cup cider vinegar 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon ground white pepper 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce 2 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the mustard, sweetener, cider vinegar, chili powder, black pepper, white pepper, and cayenne pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes. Stir in the soy sauce, butter, and liquid smoke; simmer for 10 more minutes. Cool completely, and refrigerate overnight to blend flavors before using. Hope this helps:biggrin:
  14. Not the one I use, but if you want a barium shallow she will gladly write you a scrip.
  15. It could be a lot of things, Water weight is 1 good reason and when you check your weight check it at the same time of the day. I always weigh a pound or two more in the evening. Don't stress it right now, Your in the healing stage trust me it will go down.
  16. I was banded in Mexico and I use Fill center USA but it's in VA.BCH. My surgeon in Mexico gave me a list of VA. fill Doctors ahead of time so I had it set up before I had surgery. Good luck!
  17. I want to join! Starting weight 171 goal by Christmas 10 lbs less. Hope this is the kick in the butt I need. I've been on a never ending platue.

Thank you, I'll try the turkey sausage. I tried ground chicken before and hated it. Not the taste but the texture made me ill. Here's hoping it's better.

    July Butterflies Master Thread

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving filled with loved ones. Now another subject, Food: I was just sitting here trying to find some new lapband recipes and most are the same in one way or another. Chicken and Fish! I'm so so so sick of Chicken and Fish I could spit nails. I just don't want any type of bird or anything that swims in the ocean for a very long time. Does anyone have any new ideas please help, I'm just getting to the point that I go look and don't want to prepare anything so I go without or grab something I shouldn't like reduced fat cheese its I know that craps bad but I guess I try to justify it by reminding myself they're reduced fat and only 100 cals for a serving of 31. Man, It's crazy what we can talk ourselves into when we want something. Anyway any ideas ladies?

    Hi I'm new!

Welcome! And congrats on your band. You might have to wait a little for that fill. My Dr. did my first at 6wks, It's really hard at first but it gets better just hang in there. I also had mine done in Mexico. I had no problems and it was a good experiance. Hope it's a great journey for you. There is a lot of ups and downs but well worth the ride.

I didn't move to another thread I am one of the ones with nothing new to report. I was just saying some of the girls have moved on. I love this thread and the ladies on it, as long as there is at least 1 person posting I'll be hanging around. I would like to have the sleeve but for now it's out of the question. I'm just have to get my butt in gear.

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

What did Liz do to make everyone dislike her so much? And whats wrong with one of the old folks winning? Everyone knows weight is harder to take off the older you get. Not that I'm a big Liz fan or anything Iliked Abby and Daniel and they're both gone. So be it. Now play the game and take um out!!!

Sorry no whup a$$ for you today, Just a little encouragement. I think alot of us are in the same boat. If you just look at the thread so many have moved to other threads or just not posting because of nothing to report. So please don't get down on yourself. We still have a few loyal posters that stand by each other and feel one anothers pain and celebrate one anothers victories. As Orea use to say: This to shall pass. So just hang in there and get moving, even if it's just a little at first. I myself am having a hell of a time finding something I like because exercise hates me and so far I hate it. I just ordered a Wii fit plus(early Christmas from DH) I hope I can get into it. Any ways Stay strong you can and WILL do this. See ya on the skinny side of life!

    Hormel Chili Recommendation

I just make mine in the crockpot alot less clean up. I wish I could get used to the ground turkey but I just can't get over the texture. So I still use lean ground sirloin.
