I wish you had bitten your tongue when you said ridding the white pony, That's just gross. Most of the time when someone post in a forum that may not apply to their age group, They have something enlighting to share. I would once again suggest you just skip the post if it bothers you. And I realize you can look over and see what forum it's in but sometimes you just don't think about it. You said you wouldn't answer a question on childbirth or a womens period, Well if you were a OB/GYN I wouldn't mind a little advise from a man. That's where the enlighting part comes in. You have to have something valid to add.

Well I tried the shake thing today and I was starving so I gave in and made an appointment for a fill. I'm NOT looking forward to the embarrisment and lecture. I go tomarrow at 1:30 I'll let you know how it goes. I don't like going because I can never tell if I have enough or too much.

LMAO! That's what I was trying to say, sometimes it just happens.

I also need to get a tweek, I would like to lose a few more lbs before I go in, I know it's dumb but I'm a little uncomfortable as I'm only a total of 4lbs down with the 3lb gain at Christmas since my last fill in July. I was doing the Christmas weightloss challange and lost 3lbs but between the week before and now I've gained it back. I guess I just made to much candy for the grandkids for Christmas, Munch, munch, munch

Sometimes people have some very wise advice no matter what age, Should they not share it because the forum is not thier age group ? I've seen women post in the man's room and vise versa. If this bothers you so much just look at the age on the profile and if it doesn't meet your needs just skip that post, Your not being forced to read it. best advise is don't let the little things bother you. And there are times when people see a thread that is interesting to them and they click on it without noticing what forum it is.

Isn't it odd the stuff we can and cannot eat? I have no problem with crackers but the bread is just to soft, I never tried toast I've just gotten use to no bread. I do think I want to try the bagle bites. And Charlene, Why no ticker? are you just starting over? I'm going to join you with the shakes at least for a jump start. I'll have one for breakfast and one for dinner, I like to make my lunch my biggest meal for 2 reasons first I don't have to go without to food to long that makes it easier for me and 2nd my hubby works alot and dinner is often late this way I don't eat right before I go to bed. I'll let you know how I fair.

As far as the pizza goes, I don't do bread that well so I got this recipe off a site just can't remember which one right now But here goes: Take a boneless skinless chicken breast pound it flat rub with Itailian seasoning bake at 400 for 15 to 20 min. remove from oven put pizza sauce on it and top w/ff mozz. and what ever toppings you like on your pizza, the recipe called for pepperoni, but I use mushrooms, return to oven until cheese is melted. No bread and lots a protein. I'm also trying to shake a 3lb gain from the Holidays. Sure wish I could reach goal before the 2yr mark.

Ghostdog, Can I ask how long you've been banded?

Don't feel like your a failure, It's really hard to figure this fill thing out. My fill center doesn't have fluro so it's kinda a guessing game. She has me drink water as she injects the fluid and ask me to tell her when I feel it slow down and to tell you the truth Hell if I know, It seems like I go right from not enough to too much. I think I may need a fill now but am a little gun shy. I think once you've had an over fill(so very painful) you tend to try to stay on the safe side. Try a .2. That shouldn't be hard for them to hit. Good luck!

I so hope your right!!!!!

Christmas Weightloss Challenge

WOO HOO! What a wonderful feeling to see that scale go under 200. Congrats:thumbup: -
Thanks girl, See all I needed was a reality check. That's why I come here when I need a pep talk or a good swift kick in the bum. It's hard to get that from other people because even if they try to understand they just can't relate.

I'm really glad you got something to help. I've not had eather Flu shot. I guess I should stop putting it off. And Mexican food, I love love love it. or should I say I use to love love love it. Now the closest to Mexican food I get is a pinto and cheese from Taco bell once every 5 or 6 months. Thanks for letting me vent yesterday, I guess I was a little down because I'm trying to get some exercise and I've been doing the Wii fit plus and switching off with the biggest loser game. I'll work out I'm tired I feel like I did something and then BAM! the calorie counter comes up and says i've burned a total of 138 calories (well wow) that's nothing. So of coarse I want to go eat and I have my choice of half a dozen healthy things that don't really satisfy my craving and have more calories in them then I just burned.I guess I just have to deal. I knew this was going to be a lifestyle change, Boy old habits are hard to break. And how hateful is This: I see a skinny person sucking down a big juicy cheeseburger and I just want to go over and kick um. It's terrible food is such an issue for some of us.

I'm really sorry you have such a tough time with your health, I'm sure it makes it even harder. I hate when I don't feel good. Tonight I'm just a little fustrated, I guess I'm craving something and just don't know what it is and even if I did I'm sure it wouldn't be good for me. It seems like the things that taste good are bad for you and the stuff that is good for you taste bad so remined me why we have taste buds anyway. If we never had them we would just eat when we're hungry and would never know what we were missing there for never fat. But back to real life. I guess I'm just fustrated. I've lost 6lbs since my last fill in July and 3 of them were just in the past 3wks. The fill before that Feb-July I lost 10lbs. I talked to my Dr. and he said I have a metabolic deformity, I think that's crap, I never heard of such a thing. Oh well maybe I won't be so grumpy in the morning. Thanks in advance for letting me vent.

Christmas Weightloss Challenge
kimaly replied to Fluffy Jen's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1 lbs this week, Don't think i'm gonna lose 7 more by Christmas but I'll take what I can get. A loss is a loss and puts me 1 step closer to the big goal, So I'm still happy with it. -
I think they have it. I beleave they are all wearing really really tight shapers, You can see the excess skin buldging out of their workout suits.

I wish I knew the answer to that myself, I did lose 2lbs this week but it's the first weight I've lost in a long time. My last fill was in july and I'm down 6lbs since then. I know really really bad,:sneaky: -

I found this recipe, I tried it and thought it was really good so I thought I would share with those who are as tired of chicken and fish as I am: Flemish Beef Stew Serves 8 1. Ingredients 4 teaspoons canola oil, divided 2 pounds bottom round, trimmed of fat and cut into 1-inch cubes 3/4 pound sliced cremini or white button mushrooms 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 2 cups brown ale or dark beer 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces 1 large onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon caraway seeds 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 bay leaf Nutrition Info Per Serving Calories: 236 kcal Carbohydrates: 12 g Dietary Fiber: 2 g Fat: 11 g Protein: 17 g Sugars: 6 g About: Nutrition Info Powered by: ESHA Nutrient Database 2. Cooking Directions Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add half the beef and brown on all sides, turning frequently, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a 6-quart slow cooker. Drain any fat from the pan. Add the remaining 2 teaspoons oil and brown the remaining beef. Transfer to the slow cooker. Return the skillet to medium heat, add mushrooms and cook, stirring often, until they give off their liquid and it evaporates to a glaze, 5 to 7 minutes. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms; cook undisturbed for 10 seconds, then stir and cook for 30 seconds more. Pour in ale (or beer); bring to a boil, whisking constantly to reduce foaming, until thickened and bubbling, about 3 minutes. Transfer the mushroom mixture to the slow cooker. Add carrots, onion, garlic, mustard, caraway seeds, salt, pepper and bay leaf to the slow cooker. Stir to combine. Put the lid on and cook on low until the beef is very tender, about 8 hours. Discard the bay leaf before serving. Yield: 8 servings
