I'm gonna do my first weigh in for our challange Tuesday because that will be 1 week since my fill. I also think I'm gonna drop my original goal weight by 10lbs because I'm pretty close to it now and I still look heavier then I thought I would. Anyhow I put the original one where my BMI would be at the high normal for my height. So I think 10 less would be good, That would put me at mid normal.

That's really funny, But how great for them at thier age to be up and moving instead of just sitting around playing bingo or knitting. Well, the weather is great here today, sunny and 50 degrees so I'm gonna break that bike out I bought and haven't riden(excuse-the weather) I'm hoping I don't fall off. I haven't been on a bike in 35 years, But they say you never forget so we'll see. I've got a pretty nice place to ride because I live in the country, Just have to watch out for Deer crossing and a couple renegade cows that get out every now and again.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one that thought so.

That's the smart way to go.

Sorry I didn't get it. I didn't take you as a blunt person, Because blunt people just say what they think. You don't seem to do that you just hide behind metaphors and I must add that you have the tact of a caveman. Do ya think Aunt Flo understood that?

You look fantastic, Congrats! New Year new you. -
congrats on the loss:thumbup:, That's what I'm using. The Wii fit plus and I switch off with the biggest loser. I also just got the weights, are you talking about the balance board or is there a different step out? I'm new to Wii so I don't really know what all they have yet.

Hun, That's ok your choice. Like it's my choice to not like someone that would use foul statements when refering to a women's cycle. It's a free country(for now anyway) I was just saying I beleave in honesty and would rather someone be honest with me then just tell me something they think I want to hear because it's politicly correct to kiss ass.

And that's fine, I was and it's ok it's what made me grow up fast. No regrets, I don't have time for them.

In her defense I really like Blaze and she talks with a group of us(old ladies) on another thread and she's quite mature. She is the youngest in our group and always has good advice and something positive to say. I think she just got pissed and she's just a blunt person. Maybe I'm different but I have much more respect for someone who speaks their mind then someone who just says what they think you want to hear because I'm blunt and sometimes even my own friends get their feelings hurt, I don't intend on doing it but it does happen.

He wasn't 3x my age he was 17. I don't know how your state is but in mine you can still marry young as long as you have a parent sign. And my choice was foster care or marrage, I took the marrage for reasons I don't care to share.

I understand that but some people are just harder then others if life has beatin um down enough. Not everyone is going to react the same way no matter what the age is.

You must not know the same old(er) people that I do because the ones I know would give someone the finger quick if they thought someone needed it. I'm 46 and have given it a time or two myself. Not saying it's right but it happens to the best of us sometimes.
-
Why do ya'll keep saying that? Ya'll are taking it out of context. I would think you could figure it out.
-
Life experience does make a hugh difference. Only those who have lived a sheltered life would say it didn't. Some are way beyound their years. You never know what someone has had to face and deal with, Some 20yr olds have had to grow up very fast. I myself was married off at 15 and had my first child at 17, and by the time I was 21 I found myself with 3 children divorced. Supporting them on my own(no welfare, no chld supp) working and going to school so trust me when I say I was way beyond my young years. Remember, you can't judge a book by it's cover.

That's what I was thinking, You might be a little to tight. Just keep an ear out and listen to your body.

How much food can YOU eat at each meal RIGHT BEFORE you get a fill? (not first fill)
kimaly replied to dustout's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Mine says don't eat 12hrs before a fill and don't drink 4hrs before. After the fill it's warm liquids the day of and soft food the day after. -
That's wild, It's the first time I heard of a Doctor saying no carbs. I know they all say low but no carbs is harsh. Maybe he meant no white carbs, because vegs and cheese have carbs and your still in the healing stage. Give it a little time and maybe he'll ease up. And I can't get over the no fruit. I'm with you, When I was at your stage banana's saved me. Anyhow good luck:smile:

I forgot to ask ya'll yesterday but when I was getting my fill my Dr. said I needed to cut my calories down to 1190 a day. Which is only 10 less at this point. She said to lose weight you take what you weigh and multiply it by 7 and that's what you need to be at. As your weight goes down so does the calorie count as long as you want to keep losing. I was just wondering if anyone else had been told this? Also poudering the thought of why she waited a year and a half to tell me, When I asked this question she said she hadn't seen me in 5mo. and up to that point I was losing. Just thought it would have been a nice thing to tell someone so they could adjust as they need it. It would be great if more of the old butterflies would join us in the challange. But I'm glad we're at least doing it togather.

So sorry to hear of the problems with your meds. You sure have had a tough time of it, Hope it gets better for you soon. And I know the eating slowly is a terrible challange, I've had to eat on the go my whole adulthood, I was a hairdresses. You just eat between cliants. Speaking of challanges I think the idea is fab. We're doing it for the whole year right? I'll make one now. I'm gonna start with a mini goal by my 2nd bandaversary and then finish up with the rest of the year.

Got my fill today, I only got .4 still a little gun shy since the over fill hope it does the trick. She was good about the lack of weightloss. Now I'm just hoping it doesn't turn out to be to tight.

Preferred time of day to get fill? AM or PM?
kimaly replied to Melinco's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I prefer mornings for the same reasons stated above and also I can't eat 12hrs before a fill or drink 4hrs before and I don't like being so thrusty, I'd rather wake up and go then sit around all day wanting something. I'll be doing that today, I have a fill at 1:30 can't complain because I just called for the appointment yesterday. -
How long and how much?
kimaly replied to TeganRheana's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
3/4 of a cup and I try to make it last about 30min. but it doesn't always work out that way it depends on what I'm eating and how much chewing I have to do.
