Not looking for negativity but positive encouragement....
kimaly replied to kels764's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't speak for everyone but I will tell you alot of us do that from time to time just don't let it get out of control. I myself have done it and felt like crap and then had to deal with the guilt. My fill Doctor says not to beat myself up for it because if you follow the rules 99% of the time that 1% shouldn't hurt you. It's really hard to train the brain to go for what you need and not what you want. It's all a learning process and if it's bothering you your learning. I had a candy bar yesterday so I'll behave for the rest of the month. I do treat myself from time to time but in moderation. -
Thx ladies, ordered one yesterday. Great idea. I go out on our boat alot and this will be a great cover up when the DH's friends go fishing with us. I don't like to sit there with my goods hanging out in front of the guys.

I just have to ask: What kind of freak would share a needle with anyone in this day and age. I agree they must be a troll, I can smell the stinch from here. And have you ever noticed all the trolls always have um I don't know but about 2 post. Find something better to do with your time other then encourage not only bad but dangerous behavior.

I can't wait until someone gives you a great answer to this question. I kid you not when I tell you I was looking at suits online at 6:00 this morning when the hubby asked what I was doing I told him I was looking for a swimsuit that would cover my mud flap thighs and I could still feel kinda sexy in. I got kinda mad when he sugested spandex bike shorts with a tankini top. yep! How cute would that be? can't you just see that one. LOL!

Need Advice Re: Co-workers
kimaly replied to DebraC10's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really don't think you have to tell them anything if you don't want too. But I also think they will figure it out sooner or later. Putting 2 & 2 togather, Think about it: They know you were out for surgery when you got back your eating habits changed and you started losing weight. They will most likely just guess and talk about it behind your back. I just don't care what people think about my surgery because it was for me and not them. I was honest with our employee's but that's just me. You could always use the old fall back and tell them it's female problems. Good luck in whatever you decide. And Congrats on joining us in the band world! -
LMAO!!!!! I think that's what we all need to do. Shake those bad habits. And 1 Day, Love the MOMs ROCK. But sometimes I think that's what helped get some of us in this boat. We spend so much time taking care of everyone else we forget to take care of ourselves. But Lord knows we DO ROCK, Who else gives more of themselves then a Mom.

I think most of us do that from time to time it can drive you crazy if you let it. When I'm dealing with that I get so disapointed and fustrated. Now days I try real hard not to let it get to me. I just take it day by day and if I gain I try to switch things up a little but sometimes it's hard not to get fustrated with it.

do you have a secret goal weight???
kimaly replied to mom2girls's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No secret, Just want to get to 150lbs. But I do know what you mean about people saying things when you tell them your goal weight. Most friends tell me I'm fine now but I think they are just so use to how big I was that I seem to be normal to them now. I'm just looking to get to a normal BMI. I'm 5'6 and 150 would do it. I will tell you I lowed my original goal weight down from 160 because when I was big that seemed so small to me but when I got there I realized I still needed to lose weight. -
weekly Weigh in a day late and no change, It's ok because I did alot of cooking for the family for Easter which means I did alot of nibbling also. So I can deal with no loss and no gain. Congrats Charlene, A 2lb loss is a good week and on a holiday! You go girl.
-
I agree with Charlene, Try the 5 day pouch test and see if you can shrink your stomach. Also, maybe .4cc's was to much to take out. Sometimes just a .2 can make all the difference. I also don't do cold things to well, I pretty much do everything warm or room temp. But that's not a problem for me because I've always drank everything that way even soda back in the day. I hope this week brings you better restriction.

Goal Size vs Goal Weight
kimaly replied to 2911plans's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
LMAO! I have to agree. Even back before I ever gained weight I was really thin hipless and shoulders as wide as a line backer. One of my students once told me I was shaped like a yeild sign. And she was right. -
WOO HOO!!!! And Congrats, You go girl. Awesome job:thumbup::thumbup:

Goal Size vs Goal Weight
kimaly replied to 2911plans's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm in America and would like to fit into a size 6 (LOL) -
Sounds like your off to a good start. Good for you! And don't worry about baby steps, Steps are steps no matter what type you take.
-
Thank you for the answer. I just noticed I mistook the total amount you want to lose for your goal weight. I thought your goal weight was 135. That's why I asked how tall you are.
-
Can I ask you how tall are you? And how you came up with your goal weight? I ask because I'm almost to goal and still look heavy, My new goal weight is 150. I changed it from 160 when I got close to it and saw I still wasn't where I really wanted to be and my BMI still wasn't in the normal range. 150 is a normal BMI for me(Well, high normal) But anyway I was just wondering how you came up with yours. If you don't mind me asking.

Thank you very much.

Goal Size vs Goal Weight
kimaly replied to 2911plans's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am a scale whore, I had to put mine in the trunk of my car and only bring it out Tuesday mornings for my weigh in. I know it's sad but you gotta do what you gotta do. So the answer to the question for me would be weight. My jeans are a size 10 right now and I beleave I could do a 9 as I'm using a belt to keep them up. But I care more about what the scale says. -
Tuesday weigh in- WOO HOO! a 2lb week.
-
I cut up 1/2 of the little mini bananas you get at walmart put fat free cottage cheese over it and then a teaspoon or so of sugar free Rasberry jam. It's good and fast
-
Your telling me. I went to a cook out yesterday for my sons 29th birthday and there wae nothing I could eat so I went to the car and got some carrot stix and a little later I drank a pro joe and some of the girls started asking question about why I eat like I do. I"m not shy about having a band and don't mind telling anyone but I hate that the confersation always goes in that dirrection and I find myself explaining it over and over again. I told my DD I was just gonna have it printed on a shirt so I could wear it to any gathering that food was involved.LOL

Let's have our own unofficial poll.
kimaly replied to BJean's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
We have a Commercial Plumbing Company and yes the health care bill will require them to have coverage with as little as 5 employees. We have more then that but but less then the 50 that other small businesses will be required to have coverage for. I know they are offering tax breaks but it is in no way enough to cover the out of pocket expense to the employer. I agree we need some type of reform I just don't beleave this is the one. -

Bjean, Do ya'll run a Construction Company? Because it is different for those that do. -
Let's have our own unofficial poll.
kimaly replied to BJean's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have to say as a small business owner this could destroy us. We have had lay offs and also had to drop our insurance even for our selves so we could make it through these hard times but this is what we had to do to be able to keep as many guys working as possible if the Gov. forces us to pay for insurance we will lose more people. as stated above we are a small company and know each of our employees and their family and care about all of them. There is gonna be fall out from this and it's gonna be the little guy that gets it in the end. And for those who think it only applies to companies with 50 or more employees your wrong, They are saying it will apply to construction companies with as few as 5 employees not to mention the premiums will go up. I beleave all Americans deserve to have health care but also DO NOT beleave the hard working people should have to pay for those who don't. If we took a good look into disability and medicaid and got those off of it that really don't need to be on it then maybe the people that do need it could have it also cap insurance companies and the amount hospitals and doctors can charge you. Just think of the money we could save there. Also I get 1 script a month and it cost $152.00 for 30 pills. stop this. Cap what they can charge for scripts. And the Constitution states No laws will be forced on the people that do not apply to congress. So why are they exempt from this Health care program they are shoving down our throats?
