Go Karey! As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Here's hoping for completely smooth sailing this time 'round. -
Renewedhope is Headed for the Flatlands

Just breathe :bolt: You are already doing so incredibly well that this will be a cake walk! Here's hoping all the details are ironed out during Tuesdays apt and that you get a sense of peace, knowing you are doing the right thing. Congrats to you on the 5K!!!! That is awesome and yep, you are definitely a bad a$$ :tt1: -
Congratulations on your successful surgery! Please, take it easy and rest up. Glad to hear you are doing well and are pleased (so far) with the results.

Tracyinks Time for TT! FREAKY
cori in wa replied to TracyinKS's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Is there any chance you can do a breast lift at the same time? I only ask because the research I've done REALLY seems to indicate that those two work well together and people seem to be happier with their TT's when they do the ladies at the same time. Just a thought.... but I wish you the very best of luck at your appointment and I hope this all works out for you!!!! -
Have gone from a full D to a scary looking C and I still need to lose another 15-20 pounds. So yes, a lift and fluff is definitely in order for me. Hope your results are different!

Hey you. I'm worried about you. No energy is NOT a good thing. Please, be eating well and wise and focus on healing, OK? I hope the trip to Miami was as pain free and unenventful as possible. Looking forward to hearing from you and praying that your news is good news. -

Congratulations!!!! You look great and I'm glad to hear the side effects are diminishing. Looks like lipo has turned out to be a great choice for you. I hope you continue to heal and feel well. -

Ahhhh, good try. I know you are really going back for the shopping. Now that you are hotter than hot you want some new duds to show off your amazing figure  Seriously, the relief you will get just knowing that all is well (and I hope/pray that it really is) will be worth the hassle. Peace of mind can be a VERY good thing. Be safe and know that you are being prayed for. -

LOL! Frangi, you make me smile. Dehissing simply means your wound closure has come apart, or the skin that had been pulled together to close the wound has spread open. Closing it at this point is the LAST thing you want to do.... packing is the absolute way to go (or so I've been told) so please follow your doc on this one. I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time, but I've no doubt you will heal completely and quickly. So glad you are not looking to lose more weight. I think a 6 is plenty small, no matter your height or body type. so, did you buy out Miami? Have you enough clothes to get you by for now? Or do we have to watch out for you on QVC and the shopping channel as you continue to take it easy and heal Becky, I'm so sorry to hear about your momma. I'll pray for wisdom for the physicians and nurses caring for her as well as a complete and quick recovery for her. Prayers too for you.... for your son and all the stress you are going through. Karey, I know you didn't ask, but I'll toss my .02 in anyway. I see WAY more nakedor largely undressed bodies than I ever thought I would. I work in an ER and I deal with patients' hearts on an almost daily basis, so I've seen a slew of folks. And from a completely objective perspective, YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!!!!! I've no doubt you look exceptional in clothes as well. Ultimately you alone can elvaluate the pros and cons and come to a decision, but you honestly, truthfully look wonderful. A quick "hello" to everyone else and wishing you all success in your continued weight loss or on your road to PS success. -

Frangi my dear, you are a ROCK STAR!!!!!! How you do it is just beyond me.... but I am happy to hear that you are doing so incredibly well! (OK, I can't actually believe I'm saying this....) I can't wait to see your new butt! Even through the swelling I bet it looks fantastic. You chose very wisely in doctor selection and it sounds like it has completely paid off! Next time you consider books I HIGHLY recommend the Women's Murder Mystery series by James Patterson.... love those!! They are so good and popular I would imagine they come on tape. Happy shopping and walking and prayers that you continue to heal so miraculously well  -

Becky, the new "do" is adorable! I agree that it shows off your beautiful slim face and the color (more ash? Less red?) is fantastic. Excellent change!!! Hi Frangi. So glad to hear the surgery went well. Not that I'm surprised, just glad. Hope the pain goes aaway quickly and you can soon focus on healing!!! -
Thanks Karey :crying: I told my husband today that I'm going to try it.... I want it to be here NOW. (I'm ordering on-line as I've no clue where I'd buy it locally.) I also found another place in vancouver that does permanent make-up. They don't show their photos/results on-line but have a make-over book in house that I can look through. I want to make sure and get someone who has experience AND good results :wink2:

Question for those of you who use revitalash..... do you still wear mascara during the day? I mean, I know you put it on your own, mascara-free lashes/lash line at night, but then can you wear mascara during the day while the stuff is beginning to work, or do you have to leave your lashes make-up free for some down time? Just curious as i don't know how long I could actually last without mascara.

Hi Frangi I'm sorry your flight was delayed so long....hopefully it was smooth sailing once you actually got on the plane! Wishing you best wishes for a speedy route through the varius chores you need to take care of and here's hoping round 2 is every bit as successful as round 1 was! Happy shopping to you -
Update from Julie Geraci - beware!
cori in wa replied to juliegeraci's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I too am sorry to hear you are going through this. After spending $20K and NOT getting the desired results I'd not only be frustrated and angry, but sad as well. Here's hoping you receive a positive resolution with this whole thing! -
Oh, and Becky, I would think/hope the line is so close to the lash line that any eye creases woudn't be affected during PS.
-
Thanks for the tip Karey.... and considering all the $$ I've spent on every type and brand of "best mascara available" to get longer, see-able lashes I don't think $150 sounds too bad at all! I'll have to check and see if it is available locally or if I can order it on line... I've been researching places in both Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR (just over the river) that do permanent make-up and I have been so disappointed! The places I've found that actually have images available seem so harsh... the lines are thick and obvious. One of the nurses I work with had it done and she HATES it. But, she has a thick, dark line on both her upper and lower lids. I want the results that you posted Frangi.... thin, smudged looking, natural lines. Beaverton, OR and the westside is more upscale.... or The Pearl area in Portland.... I should be able to find something!!!

Karey, reach out and touch someone! Really and truly. There have to be other bariatic surgeons in the SLC area and if you go about it the right way you can surely consult with one of your choice. Maybe rather than voicing your doubts about your current doc you could approach the subject of a consult with just wanting a 2nd opinion, to verify reults and options. That happens ALL the time with orthopedic surgeons, oncology docs and general surgery as well. Docs seem to be more hesitant to say "this doc was wrong" but if you just want another opinion, well, that's an entirely different approach. But do pursue this. You need to be feeling better and hopefully you will, very soon! Take care of yourself my dear. -
I've wanted to do the eyeliner bit for years.... and darn it, I think I will  I have an entire week off in October, just for me, and that sounds like the perfect time to go this route. I've used a dark green eyeliner (I've got green eyes.... seems to be the way many go: eye color = eye liner color) forever and will go with that. In the mean time I'll research permanent make up artists in the Portland, OR area. Surely they have some one who can do this.... Looking forward to seeing pictures frangi!!!

Hi Becky and welcome back! It is very good to see your smiling face. I hope your time in Chicago was truly wonderful! Frangi, you blow me away!!! GO YOU!!!!!! You are going to look too hot for words and your poor hubby will be needing new hankies to wipe the continual drool off his chin. Oh. That sinful shopping site. Bad you!!! I broke down and bought that darling crocheted cardigan and a few cami's. I justified by telling myself a girl has needs  I agree with the others.... keep the post here for the next round of surgery. It will be fun to read through and see the differences between rounds 1 and 2. I hope Becky stays here too when she is ready for the next go round. Speaking of which, I agree. I've not even had PS yet and I'm already addicted! I still need to lose 20 pounds or so, and my backside is getting as flat as a pancake (though not my belly.... what's up with that?!!!) but I've promised myself a boob lift and tummy tuck (with lipo as needed) so I'm going to stick with that. For now. Probably. So good to see you all here, chatting! -

I'm sorry to hear you are still feeling crummy Karey.... that bites! Congrats on the next round of surgery but holy schmoly.... they are doing all that AT ONCE?!!!! I can't even imagine the recovery from all those procedures. Did the ortho guy/gal agree to do the knee around the same time? Here's hoping you feel better quickly and that you are 100% before surgery! -

Congrats Shalee!!! Here's hoping that all your consults go well and that you find the absolute perfect Dr. for you! -
Glad to hear you are looking and feeling so great Karri! And I'm happy for you that you won't need to do more shopping.... that can be exhausting as well as expensive. Soon, very soon you'll get to run again :cool2:
