Arm Lift and Tummy Tuck
Jamocoa replied to j.winters1028's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
This is all good advice. I was sleeping in an uncomfortable recliner my Daddy bought over. I was so uncomfortable and my back and shoulders hurt on top of the pain from the surgery. I was watching YouTube videos and a young lady mentioned see rented a hospital bed. I called and rented one. Way better than the recliner and it was only 175.00 for the month. Hello there, the insurance pays for it because of the complications you get from the extra skin. You can get rashes and fungus up under the skin sores and infections. My doctor said that it's the way you word it when you send in for your insurance approval. I had my surgery on May 29th and I must say it is painful. I'm in so much pain. But I have no regrets. Most of the pain come from getting up and down off the toilet and in and out the chairs. I've been sleeping in a recliner. I haven't laid down in my bed yet.

Hi there. That's a lot of surgery and a whole lot of money. I'm glad to hear you say it's the best money you've spent. I'm getting an Abdominopasty 5/29/18. My insurance is covering it. I have to pay 250.00 co-pay. How long ago was your surgery and how long was the recovery process? I wasn't scared or nervous when I was sleeved but I'm terrified this time. When does the light shine
Jamocoa replied to QueenTiff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They are protein shakes. You have to make them yourself. They have different flavors.. it's worth the try. I've been on them since week 2, I'm 4months now Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app -

Jamocoa replied to QueenTiff's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh my word! I can only imagine what you're going through. I wasn't able to drink any protein shakes. All of the sugar free stuff was really disgusting to me and couldn't even take my vitamins. I was so tired and weak. My face I was scared to look in the mirror. My eyes were so dark and bagging up under. I talked to a friend that I met through YouTube. And she told me that she strained some chicken noodle soup and drank the broth from that. I tried it after adding water to it and it gave me Life. But for some reason anything that I ate I don't have the taste for it anymore. So I only did it that one time. I contacted my friend from Herbalife. I had been on the products before. She came and made me some shakes and it brought me back to life. I've been using it as my primary source of protein. As for the bowel movements it's the worse. I have the sensation like I have to poop but only gas come out. I'm drinking a tea at night before bed. In the morning I have a movement. I'm really hoping things get better for you soon. And it will! It does get better, I promise! Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app -

You look great. I was sleeved April 25th 2017. I'm down 54lbs since surgery. I haven't had any stalls. But my best friend that was sleeved has. Our diets are totally different. I Don't eat any bread, pasta or rice. But she does from time tone. I was told not to for 6months. She said she wasn't told that. I also burn way more calories than I eat and she doesn't.. so watch what you eat. Oh and I also started craving and eating more vegetables. It's been helping with my bowels.. Oh my word. I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry you went through that. I was sleeved April 25th 2017. I didn't really have pain. I never took any meds for pain. The nurses should never be rude. I'm the type of person that would go over everyone's head until I get what I need. I will jump the chain of command if need be.
