Hi everyone,
I have been stalking this board for a few months now and have changed my mind from the Obera Balloon, to the Vblock, to the gastric sleeve. I have a slightly high BMI, I guess. I will easily fall below the limit if I do any type of preop diet. My motivation for having surgery is that I am not even 40 yet, and have high blood pressure, migraine headaches, and constant pain in my back and hips. I am not very tall, 5'1" to be exact, and I feel like I am carrying too much weight for my frame.
I am a Veteran, So I will be having surgery at the VA medical center with Dr. James Maher. My first appt. with him is 5/17 and I am both scared and excited. I have 3 children and a wonderful husband who just retired from the Army after 22 years of service. I am so proud of him
