    Worst Experience so far?

Me as well, I pretty much hate everything and find no joy in life at all. Laura[emoji1]

    Am I being crazy?

Thanks for your post. I'm having those same thoughts tonight. I'm two weeks postop and I've lost 10 pounds. I'm following everything to the letter, including exercise everyday. It just seems like since this is all I'm focusing on, I should be doing better. Even though in my brain I know everyone is different and there are logical explanations for why I'm not losing more, it doesn't help my heart. [emoji17] Laura[emoji1]
  3. I'm post op day 11 and I can't believe how much my taste buds changed. I found lots of shakes I liked pre op and actually bought a couple packs and now I don't care for them. I'm hoping it's just because it's right after surgery. Advice- only buy a few to have on hand after surgery just in case! Laura[emoji1]
  4. Try a yogurt smoothie! I put a scoop of unflavored protein powder in it, but you wouldn't have to. Here are some options, I play with the yogurt flavors and fruit, but I find I can get them down better than the premixed shakes. Laura[emoji1]

    Any April sleevers

Going pretty well! Post op day 11 and still struggling with the liquids, but overall good! Looking forward to switching to puréed on Tuesday! Laura[emoji1]

    No energy.

I felt light headed and dizzy about a week post op. I was getting enough protein but my water intake was low. They told me I wasn't drinking enough water. I've increased my intake to 60ounces plus, and I feel sooo much better. Do you like water cold, tepid, or hot? Or flavored in any way? Anything you can do to get the fluids in will help. At this point, I've been told it's more important to get water than it is the protein. Sending prayers and good energy your way! [emoji1374] Laura[emoji1]

This was my first surgery, IV, and overnight hospital stay. I did great and everything went well! Good luck! Laura[emoji1]

    Anxiety

I had my surgery on 4/4. Everything went well and I had very little pain, only discomfort at the incision sites. Everyone is different, but you have the right attitude! Don't put your head down tho, keep it up. You've made the decision to change your life and that's something to be proud of!! Laura[emoji1]

    Newly Sleeved

I guess I didn't realize I could do anything with my profile, lol. I'm a newbie. I will take some pics of my recipes! I've also been dabbling with different concoctions. Mainly switching up the yogurt. Tonight I'm having Oikos triple 0 coconut cream with mocha protein powder and 2.5 strawberries. It's delightful! I'm trying to post a couple pictures of the recipes, but it won't let me. [emoji849]

    Newly Sleeved

I am also newly sleeved (4/4). I have been doing a lot of smoothies that my nutritionist recommended. I seem to like the yogurt smoothies the best. The pre-mixed protein shakes I lived on during pre-op phase sound terrible to me now. For smoothie: Any container Greek 100 yogurt (sugar under 10) 1/2 c milk 1 scoop unflavored protein powder 1/4 c dry milk Half banana (or other fruit) It takes me half the day to get it down, but it tastes good. There are a few others I can share if you're interested, or Pinterest seems to have a lot of good ideas as well. Good Luck!
