    Post-Op Walking???

I waited two days after I got home to do my routine walks (about 2-3 miles daily)
  4. You won't need PJs. You'll get undressed and put on the gown, have surgery, stay over night and if all goes well you'll be released the very next day.
  5. Not to discourage anyone... Sleeve on the 5th and I'm down 29ish pounds. I have had nothing but liquids; broth, Water and Premiere brand Protein Shakes. Mostly water! Try putting more water than anything in your diet. Everyone is different tho. My starting weight was 287.8 at the day of surgery and I weighed at 259.6 at yesterday's Dr appt.

    April sleevers!?

    Keep us posted!
  7. I got mine done last Wednesday on the 5th. Nothing to be nervous about. [emoji4] message me if you have any type of questions or concerns. I'm on day 8, it's been a cool ride thus far. Just follow your Dr's/hospitals orders and you'll be fabulous! My dietician at yesterday's appt used that exact algorithm [emoji5]

    April sleevers!?

I had the VSG done last Wednesday on the 5th of April too! A week out and still on a liquid diet. But I have no urge to eat lol. So it's okay. I haven't experienced any vomiting episodes and maybe had only one episode of nauseatedness. Hang in there. Stick to the book and you'll be fine! PS just out of curiosity, did you get the VSG? If so, how much weight have you lost?
  9. Praying for a speedy recovery for you! I had my surgery last Wednesday (4/5/17), and was released the next day. My dr was wonderful, almost no pain and was able to walk that same day. Nurses said it didn't look like I had any surgery done at all by the way I was movin. A week later today and I'm still happy to have gone thru this.. where was this awesome app before??

Struggling to get the weight off.

12 pounds is fairly easy to lose if you go for walks and drink lots of WATER. Exercise is very important as much as a healthy diet is. May I recommend trying a meal replacement shake of sorts? Everyone is very different so I can't state what worked for me but I know with just walking a good pace religiously you'll slowly see it coming off. Also try not eating later in the evening Hope this helps! I would love for you to get your surgery done!

    Surgery in Mexico

My condolences to you and your family. I know of a person that went to Tijuana to get the VSG. She's super-ok and paid less than $6,000. I just had the VSG done last week but in Bakersfield, CA but my insurance covered it. The price difference is night and day. Not sure about the procedure and equipment used but she is very satisfied and happy she went [emoji4] Edit: I clicked the word Tijuana and seen their facility. It's beautiful and looks to be state of the art
