NC Road to Sleeve to DS Revision
Blater replied to tynettamd's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Your surgeon assured you that it is resolved with the DS? -
Blater started following Nutrisystem after weight loss surgery?, Staples, NC Road to Sleeve to DS Revision and and 3 others
-
Staples will always be there. The risk of leak gets smaller and smaller over time. Nothing is impossible, but I doubt you can cause a leak by eating something. But, if you have a severe trauma to your stomach like an accident, that may lead to a leak.

NC Road to Sleeve to DS Revision

Do you mind if I ask if you had any acid reflux with the sleeve? -
-
Another possible prespective, living with long-term risk of complications due to the surgery, such as strictures. None of us are assured to live that long.

All the best. I recommend you check the obesityhelp.com DS forum. Such great and knowledgeable folks Were you a band to sleeve revision? -

I just cringed when I read this! Why would you trust the same surgeon? Also, you do realize your risk for complications was increased significantlyas this is your third wls and second revision. Furthermore with a tighter sleeve your far more prone to gerd, strictures and gastric torsion. Is it really worth it? Anyway, hope your okay post op

Abdominal Pain that travels down my thigh
Blater replied to Lovebug78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gallbladder? You're still early out. Get it checked before it's too serious -
One word, ulcers! As a sleeved person you can't take NSAIDS, steriods or smoke. Basically avoid anything that can cause an ulcer. There's not much stomach tissue left and ulcers eat away at your stomach
-
Good luck! I am curious was your sleeve stretched or the surgery was done incorrectly? Do you have acid reflux now?
-
-
I was thinking of older wls and with a google search ran into a forum for folks who had the VBG. Reading the stories of folks who are dealing with complications 10 and 20 years was scary!

Nutrisystem after weight loss surgery?
Blater replied to Lexigurl82's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree with the above. Leave those fad diets behind. -
Ah ok. I think...the mere fact you lose 80 percent of your stomach is still pretty invasive. GL!

Do they leave more of the stomach with the mini-sleve? That's interesting.
