Hello My June 14th Friends. Here is my update. Other then being tired all the time, everything is going well. I'm in step 3 of my diet plan as of Saturday. All I can say about food is that I'm thankful for more food options. Does anyone else feel like a baby trying food for the first time? I find it interesting that I have to eat something and do the wait and see game to see how my body handles it. Since surgery, I have lost 18 ponds. The last few days, my weight has stayed the same. I figured between all the weight I lost pre and post surgery (47 in all over since last May) my body needed a chance to adjust to all the changes. I hope everyone is doing well. Please update the group with your progress when you get a chance.

Welcome to the conversation. I'm doing good so far. Yesterday, was the first day I was able to meet my water and protein goals. It took all day, but I did it! How are you doing?

I am working on drinking an ounce every 15 minutes. Which included water, protein drinks, Jell-O, Crystal light. Before I left the hospital, my doctor said water was the most important. He said during the first week dehydration is the biggest thing to worry about. Water is the priority. All 64oz each day.

Slowly but surly it will get better.
-
I'm out and on my way home! Today was 100% better.

Yes. It just takes time and Good drugs). I'm trying fluid again this morning. Slow going.
-
Because in the live X-ray this morning. My stoma was not allowing the liquid to go in my stomach. It was very slow and restrictive.
-
I will also be in the hospital another night due to inflammation that is making it hard to drink.
-
My pain seems to be well managed. I'm having problems taking water in. They think there might be to much swelling and water is not going down like it should. Im just being parent. How about you?

I don't know about you but this gas pain in my chest is a little much. I'm finding walking and gas x strips helping.

Walgreens has a coupon right now for Gas X Strips. $2 off. Just ask at the counter when you check out.
