  2. You really have inspried me as it has been a tough week and need a positive focus. I am 2 month post op and 19kg lighter but yesterday I was struggling. Dealing with the emotional change and hurdles of my job this week I lost sight of my end goal so thank you for the reminder. Have a great week, take care and Well done. You look fantastic🤗🤗

  3. I've got 165-ish to take off (roughly 50% of my highest weight) and I'm stalled at 20 pounds down on the pre-op diet. I'm struggling with hunger and impatience and defeatist thinking, but I'm trying to focus on TODAY. What can I "do right" today? This morning I got up and went for a 5k walk out in the sunshine, and thought about my goals of hiking and running and doing all my physical things. Then I drank some Protein Water and reminded myself again.
I guess all I can say is try not to look st the huge overwhelming goal. Yes you're working toward that, but look at what's right in front of you. Do that right. And repeat.

I am 6 weeks post op and had a week of feeling quite down. Talking help but I also surrounded myself with post it notes whick I wrote positive messages on reminding me how step by step, day by day I can do this. I focus on the day and have looked at rewards that do not focus on food or drink. Also take some time for you and I find staring each day with 10min deep breathing helps. Every day you are one step closer to where you want to be.

  4. I am on the 15th and my surgeon has me on 2 days of Protein Shakes for breakfast and lunch and a lean Protein meat and veggies for dinner. The day before surgery clear liquids only.

Hi all, I did so much research before this process but a 2 weeks pre op diet is normal. Being over weight means our liver is large by reducing the size of the liver it makes the surgery far easier to do and the possibility of less complications. Good luck all. I am now 1 month post op[emoji3]

  5. I am also 3wks post op and always tired, at times dizzy (I have to get up slowly or else I feel like I may pass out), get out of breath easily, I am also taking my Vitamins, getting in my Protein and fluids, im curious too if anyone else felt this way.

Hi, I spoke to my Dr about the dizzy spells and he said it is common as your body looses a lot of weight in the first few weeks so this is an adjustment it is making. It will ease but keep drinking sips of Water.< br>

  6. Thank you all so much for your good wishes. I'm out on the other side. Sleeved!
Operation was pretty straightforward but I was quite a while in recovery. I asked for a premed to relax me a little before the operation and I think this made my journey out of anasthesia more difficult. Felt sick but soon went.
Not much sleep last night as the nurses were checking my vitals pretty often and the iv pump alarm was hyper sensitive. Hope to sleep better tonight.
I had a nasal drain fitted during surgery and this was removed this morning. Not fun. I have an incision drain remaining which is being removed tomorrow morning and I'm hoping to go home tomorrow afternoon.
Nothing but tea and Water so far. Not feeling hungry at all. No food for 36 hours now. Clear Soup, yoghurt from tomorrow.

Hi, I had the drip in for a week and that was very strange but for the first 48hours I did not sleep much either. Mine was also througb discomfort as I could not get comfy at all plus a dry mouth. It helps to have wipe for your face and mouth. Also swill your mouth out with water so the dryness is not so bad.
