My nut and my surgeon both recommended genepro. It’s the only thing I’ve been able to tolerate. I really like it and have had no problems with it.

Genepro from gnc. Has totally replaced my shakes.

Protein and Carbs...Help!

They have a great low carb yogurt called Carb Master. I love it. Try tuna or chicken salad for dinner instead of oatmeal. -

I had the 3 week stall. And it was exactly 3 weeks lol. I’ve tried to edit my profile to allow my surgery stats but it won’t let me. My highest weight was 270. Surgery weight was 259. Current weight is 209. Im 5’9 and 39 years old. Surgery was 2/28/2018

I think I figured it out

I couldn’t tolerate shakes after surgery and still can’t. I went to gnc and bought genepro. I mix it in with my water and some crystal light flavoring and that’s what I use instead of shakes. -
I’m at my 3 month mark and my weight loss has slowed way down. I’ve lost 4 pounds in the last 15 days!! Did this happen to anyone else? I’ve lost right at 50 pounds since surgery day.
-
Just curious if anyone has tried sugar yet...and what happened? I’m almost 3 months out and have not tried anything with sugar. I’m kinda scared of what will happen.
-
Thank you! I called my surgeon and he said it was common with the high protein diet that he has me on. It scares me to think I could have another one!!! I’m cutting out all red meat! And going to try to up my water intake to 90 oz a day.

I had my first kidney stone last night and it was horrible. Never had one before!!! Anyone have problems with these?! I’m 9 weeks post op.
-
I’m at 9 weeks out and have lost only 35 pounds from day of surgery. I had a 3 week stall where I lost absolutely nothing.

I was only eating around 300 calories and less than 20g carbs a day. My surgeon wanted me to eat 3 meals a day but wasn’t able to eat enough to get any calories or carbs in!! So I had to start eating small meals several times a day. Now I eat at breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and snack. I’m getting around 600 calories and closer to 30 or 40g carbs a day. The first day I did it, I felt like I was eating way too much and worrying about bad habits by eating several times a day. But that’s what it takes to be able to increase my calories and carbs and get the scale moving again. My stall was exactly 3 weeks long. A very long 21 days.
-
My stall has finally broken. At almost exactly 3 weeks. I am down as of this morning 3lbs!!!! Not a lot but it’s finally a movement in the right direction. I had to eat more!!! Literally force myself to eat more often to get in more calories and it finally stared dropping again. Hallelujah

Yes, you are very right! I have googled and googled stalls and how to break them. I just don’t want my surgeon to think that I’m not following the program because I most definitely am!! And of course, it’s so disheartening to get on that scale each week and see it the same. I do feel like I’m still losing inches though, just not sure why that scale isn’t moving! I appreciate your positivity though!! Thank you 😊
