alcn1derlnd got a reaction from ChaosUnlimited in What's your beauty secret?
My favorite moisturizer is pure lanolin at night. I found some liquid lanolin on Amazon. It goes on easier if your face and hands are damp. For concealer for dark under eyes I like NYX undereye with a couple of drops of argon oil added to it. I also like Becca under eye illuminating creme

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from bossportsgal in Concerned about hair loss. Remedies?
I did the Biotin and mine is falling out currently. I don’t think that there is really all that much you can do to prevent it.

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from FluffyChix in Leg cramps
Magnesium can be a big one for cramping and leg spasms. My neurologist has me take it for Restless Legs Syndrome and it got rid of my Charlie horses too.

Random strands. Kind of like the Hair loss you get after pregnancy.

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from Rosie’om in What's your favorite phase 2 foods?
Beans and cheese have been the easiest for me. I like adding salsa and avacodo to my beans also.

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from FluffyChix in June 2017 RNY
I'm doing well. Dense meats I can only take a couple of bites or I have problems. I eat mostly Beans, eggs, or dairy for Protein. I've lost 28lbs since surgery on June 29th. My doctor's office is very happy with my weightloss so far.

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from ProudGrammy in I regret this surgery
The huge release of extra hormones don't help with our emotions. I'm two months out and know mine have to be extremely high thanks to my monthly visit turning into four. I use to work with IVF patients and can tell you that stress ( which your body is going through due to surgery and a major life change) plus too many hormones leads to depression, anxiety, hopelessness, and mood swings. Try going to your local bariatric support group meetings to talk out what you are going through or the psychiatrist that did your pre op evaluation . Hang in there. It should get better soon.

Amazon has travel funnels that hold Protein powders and make it easy to add to bottled Water. I put my Syntrax Nectar in that to travel. I only got the travel pouches to see which flavors I actually like.

Exactly, hence the magic. There is no magic without a price. Right?

alcn1derlnd reacted to Aleathia in Surgery didn’t work?
I had gastric sleeve almost a yr ago. I didn't lose any weight for 7 months! Ppl kept telling me to hang in there and stick with my program. It's better for the weight to come off slow they said. I call BS! And I was right. My NUT had me eating Pasta and all brown of course. She had me eating 1500 cals a day which I thought was too high, but she was the Dr. I got a new NUT and she said to cut out all breads for at least the 1st year. So here I am 10 months out and starting all over. Once I cut out the breads, it was like I did a reset. I lost 16 lbs in the 6wks with my new NUT. Also you might be sabotaging yourself by not eating enough and working out too hard. I did the same thing. When the scale stopped moving I was at the gym for 3hrs straight feeling like I'm about to pass out. Did it 3xs a week and still nothing. Got depressed and started eating my feelings again. Therapy also helps. Hang in there and keep pushing.

alcn1derlnd got a reaction from remo1487 in Weight loss rate with pcos
I have PCOS, but had the RNY. My weightloss has been excellent. At 3 months out, I have already lost 47% of my excess body weight. My endocrinologist was very pleased and my hormone levels, A1C are at goal.

Down at total of 85. Almost fifty since day of surgery. I'm amazed what a difference there is from this time last year. The black dress was exactly a year ago and the teal one is from the end of April.
