Trying to get back on track

My family includes my hubby, who weighs 126 and NEEDS to eat right now. Anything he can. My mom, who is a junk food queen, and my hubby's cousin, who is a vegan who snacks all the time! I'm buying a refrigerator for my office so I can avoid the one in the kitchen, I decided while on the treadmill. I'm working on this! I am.
  2. Was sleeved March 30th. I did great at first. I started at 265, weighed 258 at surgery. I'm at 215 and actually gaining. I'm having trouble avoiding all the foods I shouldn't eat because they are all over my kitchen and pantry. I know that's no excuse. Just today I started writing down what I'm eating again. I'm making it to the gym about 3 times a week. The problem is, I was eating almost normally again. Small amounts, sure, but normally. My hubby was in the hospital all of July, and when he came home, he needed lots of care. Sounds like an excuse, but I was so focused on him, I just ate small amounts and didn't worry about what. Now I have to reboot. I'm disappointed in myself. I know what I need to do, but it's harder now. But today has been a success! I'm doing this one meal at a time.

It's working. Also I eat salad either as part of a meal or a snack. No dressing. Feta cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper and seasoning instead. I've found if I watch the fats, I don't even have to count calories. I use MyFitnessPal to keep me on track. Also I use a spreadsheet comparing calories, protein and fat to my weight loss.

    March sleevers hows everyone doing??

I feel your pain. I, too, am starting over tomorrow. Today is the last day of a friend's visit, and my stomach has been upset most of the morning. I'm going to quit looking in the fridge, make Mom or hubby do it. My mother is 80 and lives with us. She is very active and drives. I'm going back to shakes and the pre surgery diet minus the raw veggies. I'll stick with frozen or canned, all mushed. I am getting some flavorless protein today so that I know I'm getting my protein in. Good luck, Nina_sleeved! I'm rich there with you

    HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!

236 today. I'm going the wrong direction. The problem this week is that I have been soooooo hungry. I haven't stretched my sleeve because a scrambled egg or the innards of a taco are all I can manage still, but I am eating way too often, I think. I've got to try to stop eating with the family. I think that's part of it. I just can't eat the things they can. Another mistake has been weighing every day, I think. That really seems to be screwing me up. I'm starting the day with a protein shake and coffee, and I'm not hungry until eleven or so. That's almost 200 calories, however, and keeping it to 800 the rest of the day isn't happening. I'm frustrated at myself, but all I can do is keep trying. Food today: 5:00 coffee and shake 11:00 one egg, half a half a biscuit with gravy. (Won't be eating the biscuits and gravy any time soon again. Lost the craving.) 3:00 Greek yogurt 5 1/4 container 5:30 refried beans with the inside of a taco tossed in. Still no more than the egg. 8:00 fat free pudding. Will have a few bites of cottage cheese b4 bed to help my restless leg meds not bother my stomach.

Surgery 3/30. SW 265 PSW 251 current weight 234. I've only lost 5 lbs since my weigh in thee weeks ago, but the scales are moving again, and I keep feeling smaller. I'm into my skinniest pants without any strain, so I'm just keeping on.

Let's talk NOT meeting protein goals

Tessa1988, I had your problem about the carbs. Sugar not so much. My baby belly will not stomach pasta, but I made zoodles last night tossed with tomatoes, garlic cloves, a little lemon, fresh rosemary and dill. That was yum! Also I've found no it helps me to cook. Someone else has to taste, but cooking makes me feel I'm getting to do something with food! Hang in there. Every day is a new day and every moment is a chance to start over.

    HOP INTO SPRING CHALLENGE!!

Perfect, but I need help. I'm almost five weeks out, sleeved 3/30, starting weight 265, surgery weight, 251. Two weeks post, 238, four weeks post 236 (got scared, screwed up for a week and had to lose the five I'd gained back.) now I'm at 233 and losing a pound every day and a half on average. So I have No idea what to set as a target goal. Does 220 seem too much to expect considering what's going on?
