I have been banded since June of 2008 and have lost a little over 100 lbs. My current weight is 151 so I am very happy with my band. But here is my problem: In September I was too tight so I got an unfill... I have been extremely happy with the amount taken out but recently I got the flu and had alot of chest congestion which made me cough alot and swallow phlegm which caused me to slime and throw up more than normal esp in the middle of the night (I know gross right?!) and now NOTHING will go down not even liquids... do I need another unfill or will it go back to the way it was before? I have lost like 15 lbs in the last 3 weeks waiting for my band to go back to the way it was! I have a dr appt wednesday to get an unfill but Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!

I went to the doc for the first time on the 3rd of June and had my surgery on the 27th!

Banded June 27th Preweight- 266 Postweight- 253 Height- 5'4 Goal wight- 150

You sound just like me, i havent eaten anything solid but i havent had my first fill yet and the 10 lbs i lost right after surgery have started to creep back on! I guess im eating to much soup or tuna or something who know but i sure hope that my first fill works!!!

I was banded on June 27th and i feel fine (besides wishing i had more restriction). My one worry is my port incision, it is swollen with a knot behind it. It hurts and if i turn a certain way you can kinda see it protruding! I am a bad hypocondriac (or how ever you spell it) So of course i think i have a flipped port. My doc appt is not for about a week and noone around me knows anything about the band soo can someone please reassure me or tell me if you have had this too. :thumbup:

Hey I'm from Bastrop La, and i was banded June 27th! I am very happy with it and i am losong weight but i really want to me more restricted... I can eat a whole can of soup and feel just fine not stuffed! I feel so guilty hopefully after my first fill with miss Rita i will be much more restricted!! Well i hope all goes well with you guys! :thumbup:

I had my lapband done yesterday and im just curious if anyone else got sent home with an ON-Q bag (pain bag) Its a round ball full of medicine that has tubes from the bag to my incisions it hangs around my neck in a black bag. It is supposed to help with the pain but they are still very sore. (along with my shoulder, Whats up with that???) I have to take the tubes out of my incisions tomorow and i just wanted to see if i was alone in this!!!

I was banded yesterday as well and were in the same boat with the dry mouth! It's horrible, my question is how much chicken broth can i drink and how often? My fav is the roasted garlic flavored chicken broth! I'm groggy from liqiud hydrocodone and nausea medicine. I am supposed to return to work monday as well, but i am very worried about it!!

APPROVED APPROVED APPROVED!!! Do you know how good that sounds to me!! I have waited for this for soooo long and have read so many aproved threads and wondered how great it would feel... well now i know! Goodbye Fat Britnee and hello Smaller happier Britnee!! Ok so i got married this weekend and I faxed everything into My husbands heath insurance monday and by some miracle i am already on there today!! Well i have wanted this surgery since i first heard about it and i hear my husbands insurance is one of the best to approve it! (Union Pacific Railroad United Healthcare PPO) My question is... Can i start calling tomorrow to make appointments or should i wait a while since i just got put on?? I want it NOW!!! haha Thanks in advance for all your responses i am totally obsessed with this webcite! :cursing:
