    Pre cooked grilled chicken

I would love some more options too. I have been trying to find pre cooked chicken in strips or something that doesn't look or taste sketchy! It's always from weird rib meat and freaks me out LOL!

    Question about breast surgery

I had a reduction and lift 3 years ago and would do it over again in a heartbeat! I've had large breasts my whole life, even before I was overweight. They have always been full but stopped being perky around 19/20 and started to sag from the weight so they pulled on my back even more. I had developed scoliosis from it and have a curve in my spine that causes my hips to get out of alignment. My insurance covered it 100% and I never looked back. I had it done when I was about 23. Luckily I had plenty of volume to work with so they are back to full and perky. My surgeon removed 6 pounds of brews tissue total and I went from a G to a D. I'm sure once I lose the weight my size will go down some, which I am ok with!! I had very little pain, but I've also had my leg surgically broken and screws put in so nothing hurts as bad as that. I did lose nipple sensation on one for about 1-2 years but now it's back and like nothing happened. Some nerves take longer to grow back together than others. Good luck in you decision making!! Feel free to PM me

    Delmarva Surgeons and Programs

Thank you for your post! I will look at Christiana for sure, didn't even think of them. Smyrna isn't too far for me so that could work.

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

If you can update with what they say! I am curious as well
  5. Hello! I have done a search of the boards but really did not find any helpful answers. I am in the beginning process of this journey and I am still trying to find a surgeon. Has anyone on the board used a surgeon on Delmarva or lower Delaware? Just trying to get people's experiences with Naticoke, PRMC and AGH and their doctors and programs. I am also willing to go across the bay or up to Philly if need be. TIA [emoji847]
  6. Thank you for saying investing in yourself - that's such a helpful statement.

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

Thanks for the info! I have been reading much more and I was starting to get the feeling Aetna is a little harder to deal with...

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

Yeah that's when I worked for a company with less than 150 employees. Now I work for one of the 4 largest banks in the world...makes a huge difference. The smaller company just couldn't afford the kind of coverage I'm being offered now. They did however contribute 1500 to a HRA for each employee to help with that deductible

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

Yeah which still is not bad considering my last employer my insurance was UHC with a 3500 individual deductible with 6500 OOP

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

    I work at a bank - I should add it's a $2000 OOP max whoops

Binge eating and finding a therapist

I'm very lucky and have a therapist that specializes in eating disorders and has other patients that have had WLS. She is helping me move forward with the choice of trying to get WLS and help me be successful. I think mindfulness is HUGE when it comes to the success of overeating. I'm like you where it was obsessive in either direction. Stick with your therapist and your dietitian and good luck

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

Thanks! Luckily Anthem is the lowest cost option so that's a plus [emoji4] good luck, congrats on your approval.

    Anthem vs Aetna vs UHC

Hi everyone! This is my first post here but I have been lurking for a little while on the boards [emoji4] I currently am in my enrollment period for new health insurance with my new employer and have 3 to choose from - Anthem BCBS, UHC and Aetna. They have CDHP and PPO plans for all 3 and I'll most likely go with the PPO even though the premiums are a little higher, because the deductible on all would only be $500 with a $200 OOP max. All 3 plans are very well priced for me, not much difference between them, and all have do have Bariatric surgery covered (at least from what I can tell. They all just say it's a covered service but weight loss programs are not). Also, all my current doctors are in-network for all 3 and take all 3. (Except my PCP is a NP and is not in network with UHC there is a freeze on credentials with them) Anyway! I am leaning towards Anthem and Aetna because of UHC not covering my PCP but want to know people's experiences with those insurances and getting accepted for surgery and having it covered. My BMI is 42 I believe and I am 25. TIA for any suggestions and help.
