Logging your daily intake of food and etc.?
Neversaynever replied to The Preacher's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I log everything in My fitness pal as I am too lazy to work out if I have any calories left for the day and also the amount of protein etc I have already eaten. Its just easier it does all the hard work for you! -
Four weeks post op after sleeve- what are you eating?
Neversaynever replied to Letsgetgoing2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had dry mouth around week 5, I had no idea what it was! I just tried drinking more and it gradually disappeared, I am now just over 12 weeks out. -
I think you aren't eating enough and your body is in starvation mode. 300 calories is too low, you need to be aiming for at least 800 by month two.

Eating or Drinking 24/7 it seems
Neversaynever replied to Rachel2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Its totally normal to feel the way you do. I am just over 3 months since my surgery but it does get better! For the first few weeks, I felt the same, as though there just wasn't enough time in the day to get all the calories and liquid in, but you do have to keep trying. Don't worry too much in the very early days about the calories, just remember to eat your proteins first, followed by the veg and then if you can manage it, carbs. I aim for three meals a day with two healthy snacks. I have read on here that keeping hydrated will aid your weight loss as your body needs fluids to flush the fat out. The whole reason we are doing this is to get rid of that fat so days when I am struggling and really have no desire to drink, I make an effort as I keep thinking if I drink more, I will flush more fat out -

Here in the uk we have a B12 injection every 12 weeks, its free on the Nhs. Thank you for posting about this, although I am not suffering, it is good of you to raise awareness of this possible issue for others, hope you feel better soon. -

I also use a pill box with the days written on them. They cost £1 over here in one of our £1 shops ( don't know if you have an equivalent over there?) so very cheap! I hate taking them, really I do but I take them every morning with my first cup of tea, that way I remember but also its just easier to do it and get it out of the way. -
Today was a big milestone

I agree, I also used to compare myself with similar weight people who started around the same time as I did, It has driven me mad in the past that I was losing so slowly compared to others. I have lost 38lbs since surgery and people similar to me have lost up to 60! However, I am also a realist so I just carry on eating protein, drinking fluids and walking every day. I am very very grateful that I have lost 38lbs in the last three months as I could not have achieved that on my own, no way! Keep doing what you are doing, it will work out in the end x Also, check out the pic below, it tells you what the guidelines are for how much weight is reasonable to lose according to your starting weight.

I am a typical English girl who loves cup of tea but no more! I can still drink it but it tastes strange and I no longer enjoy it like I used to -
I actually feel thinner and look thinner! I love the way I am at the moment and I have a lot more to lose so things can only get better

I'm 3 months and I eat about 1200 - 1400 a day, no problems.

Have you thought about Mexico? a lot of people on here save a great deal of money by going there for their surgery.
