  2. I just had surgery on Friday and I came home yesterday. The day of surgery was the worst. It varies for everyone but I had a lot of pain the first day. Mainly in my shoulder from gas and my stomach and chest were sore. I still got out of bed with help from the nurse and walked around the hospital because I was told that would help with the gas pains and I would do anything to make that go away. By the next day I still was sore and had some gas pain but I felt much better. I was able to get out of bed with little to no help.and continued with walks around the hospital floor. I would say 2 weeks off work would be perfect. I am home now and moving around, able to take a shower by myself and take care of everything on my own but I am still really sore and tire easily. Each day is better and I have more energy. I haven't needed a lot.of food prep. I just split a protein drink in half or grab some sugar free jello or.popsicles. My husband and is here for anything else like our litter box and some house cleaning etc. But as far as taking care of myself with bathing, getting out of bed or the recliner, going to the bathroom etc., I was good from the second or.third day. It hurt a little.but it was tolerable. Hope that helps and good luck with your journey Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Feeling worried

I had to do sleep studies for the bariatric program and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I also hate my cpak machine lol. I had my surgery Friday and was told several times to bring it so I did. I had a feeling that if I didn't bring it they would have one ready for me to use. Respiratory therapist hooked it up for me day of surgery and insisted I used it. They had me hooked up to an oxygen level detector? That sounded like a fire alarm going off in my room when I was starting to doze off and my oxygen level went down. Finally I just put the mask on so I could sleep. I don't think they will cancel the surgery if you don't bring it, I just think they will have one there for you to use anyway Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. That seems a little excessive. My psychologist focused on reasons for over eating and possible depression, emotional eating, etc. She did ask how I planned on keeping weight off in the long run and what would motivate me to stay on track Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Day 2

I had surgery yesterday and first day was horrible. I was in a lot of pain and horrible gas pain in my shoulder. I didn't have a lot of issues with nausea except when given pain meds but was able to keep it down and it passed within a few minutes. Today I was allowed to drink water through the day and I have been walking a lot. This definitely helped with gas pain. Tomorrow I can start a liquid diet and if I am able to keep it down I should get to go home. Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app
