I'm sure it was. I am 10 weeks out now and the roof of my mouth is almost back to normal.
As far as the gastric bypass, I am thrilled to death I did it. However, I don't care about eating and I went through a period that protein shakes made me want to throw up. It's better now but I had to change brands and I really liked it before surgery. My taste buds have certainly changed. I have read that all of this is normal so I'm no longer concerned that I will hate certain protein foods forever (chicken,fish). I am down about 50 lbs., 2 sizes. I have noticed that I have to pay close attention to eating so I chew enough. Since I don't care that much for food, I sometimes get too hungry and get into trouble eating too fast. I try to portion out my food now to prevent eating too much too fast. That helps.
