Well I never cheated but I wasn't required to have a pre op. my instructions were to stop eating and drinking from 00.00 the night before my surgery. However in the last week leading up to my surgery my appetite decreased somewhat.. Maybe due to nerves!! That said, I'm sure your dr has a very good reason for asking you to go on a pre op.. Good Luck!

And I've just nibbled on a handful of raw honey roasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds.. I'll post my lunch pics tomorrow.. Today you'll have to use your imaginations!! (Ex South African living in UK -

Well done!! That's fantastic!! -
I'm lifting weights.. My weight has slowed down, but I've had a bit of a food wobble the past month or so.. So it could be attributed to that.. Haven't weighed for about 8 days or so but would be interested as I've upped my weights the past week.

I have very sensitive skin too. I use dermalogica cleanser and the Liz Earle toner and moisturiser. I love her natural products with essential oils. I don't have acne, but man, my blackheads are something else.. Much better since I have used the above products.

Wow!! Well done!

I drink a strong coffee, just about every other day. I was never required to stop drinking it. I'm actually a tea drinker but after surgery I found that tea had such a weak flavour no matter how strong I made it... Coffee did the trick!!

Yes, red on the odd special occasion. Maybe a glass of white here and there.

After isolating each and every morsel that went into my mouth... I realised SOYA milk was the cause of my CHRONIC stomach cramps. Since I've cut it out, the cramps hardly ever come on. I think perhaps at first when you start to introduce a more varied diet, this is when you notice the cramps the most.

Terrified to lose my hair....

My hair is very fine as well.. It looks like a tangled birds nest when I've just washed it!! Honestly, don't sweat the small stuff!! -
Terrified to lose my hair....
sanks51 replied to callchrissy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've not lost any hair!! I'm 8.5 months out.. The only thing I can pinpoint is.. Although I did indeed focus on protein, I never had a melt down if I never got in. I had a good amount of healthy fats such as avocado, coconut oil.. And the protein sources I selected were very dense in nutrients. I stuck to organic protein where I could, wild fish rather than farmed and lastly I ate offal such as tongue, liver etc. I don't take any supplements only 1 multivitamin which I started 2 months post op. I wash my hair everyday due to gym and it's curly and knotty... I have also highlighted it twice post op. -

How will you celebrate reaching your goal?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes perhaps that's a good target. That will also make me push harder because we all know higher resistance equals more sweat and more calories!! I don't have an accurate calorie counter but I could use the machines as a generic!! Many many thanks to you and gamergirl for your helpful and positive suggestions.

Well I did 11 miles today (1 on cross trainer, 9 on the bike and 1 on the rowing machine) I do feel like I've been unrealistic in my goal which was 150miles this month. The reason I feel it's unrealistic is not because I can't achieve it but rather because I'm feel I'm sacrificing effort for miles. For example the cross trainer gives me a much better workout but only 1 mile in the same time the bike gives me 9.. No blood, sweat and tears on the bike, where as I'm pouring on the cross trainer?? I do like a good sweat!!
