I just sent the hubby out to get me an abdominal binder --- such a difference!

Wondering if anyone else is feeling more sore today than the previous few days? I feel like I have terrible muscle cramps on my lower left side. Like when you ealk or run too fast

I feel the same way. Today is my second full day home, but I did come home on Tuesday late afternoon. I've been getting in my fluids and going on walks. You're not kidding about the gas! I've had some anxiety especially with thoughts of, "What have I done! Will I ever feel normal again" It's just nice knowing that I'm not alone in those feelings. The one thing I do to help is just picture a thinner healthier me and remind myself it's all worth it. Hang in there. :-)

Idk, my surgeon recommended Aleve because I would only have to take 4 a day (am/pm). It's crazy how everybody's post care instructions are a little different. Fir example, I'm not allowed to take any vitamins -- not even a vitamin patch -- until I get my 2 week ok from the doctor and I was put on full liquids the day I left the hospital.

I was able to swallow the pill. So far I haven't had any problems taking meds. Which is a good thing considering the amount of pills the surgeon prescribed: 4 Aleeve: 2 in the morning/2 in.the evening Prilosec: 1 in the morming 4 anti-spasm meds a day as needed, but to be taken 20 minutes before a meal. Not to mention the ocycodone, stool softener, and my Zoloft

Hi. I'm slowly on the mend. Today is a little better than yesterday, and yesterday was a little better than the day before-- which was awful. I don't have nausea, but I have definitely get that contraction feeling when a liquid hits my stomach too quickly. I also feel foggy and sore where the stitches are located. I'm sipping 3 ounces of liquid at a time. So basically I'm in the sip, walk, nap and repeat routine. How about you?

Today is my first full day home and I took my Prilosec first this this morning. I remember that they gave it to me first thing in the morning via my IV when I was in the hospital.

I had a rough night last night. Diloton (sp) was not my friend. Lots of nausea and dry heaving. However, today is a new day! No nausea, very sore, gas pains in my neck and shoulders. I had my leak test at 6am - everything looks good. And they just served me my breakast/clear liquids tray. If all goes well with my protein shake at lunch, I'll get to go home. Yay!

I started this journey over a year ago. I had to quit and take a break last April due to panic attacks and extreme anxiety. Now I'm back and better mentally prepared. Mindfulness and meditation are not just words. Monday morning at 7:30am my true journey begins. Please send me your well wishes and positive thoughts as I will send all you soon-to-be sleevers mine. I have 3 little boys who need their mom to be happier and healthier, so here we go! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. [emoji173]

Hi All. I'm slowly preparing my supplies for my VSG post op, scheduled for May 15th. I love soup. I was hoping this wise community could recommend some soup/broth brands that they found particularly satisfying. Also, strained Soup? Are they allowed during the liquid diet phase? How do you strain your soup? Finally, do you add a unflavored protein powder to your soup/broth? Thanks in advance. I'm really excited to start my journey (and ridiculously anxious).
