About Me
I'm a single mother to a soon to be college graduate that is sick and tired of the yo-yo diets. I lost a about 65lbs a few years ago but have managed to gain almost all of it back due to falling back to not so good eating habits. (carb addict) I decided it is now time I take care of myself and put myself first for once. I just want to be healthy. I have a string of illness that runs in my family but I am lucky to not suffer from HB, diabetes, etc. My PCP called me a fat heifer at my last wellness exam and that did it for me. So here I am, taking the next step to becoming healthy and happy. My only concern right now is the weight loss. I am on a fine line of where if I lose to much my insurance may not approve me for the surgery so I can't lose no more than 8 pounds during the 6mo supervised diet. yikes, I'm almost scared to try to lose any thing. I have my appointment for a sleep study in June so if I have sleep apnea, that would help but as of now, I have no comorbidities with a BMI of 41.4. I have done tons of research and continue to read up and ask questions but I have no doubt this is the best decision for me.
