  1. I also had major Hair loss about 3 months after surgery. I went to the doctor, had all types of blood tests, which were all normal. I tried Biotin, I tried every type of multi Vitamin I could get my hands on. I even tried that expensive Shampoo. Nothing worked. Then one of my nursing instructors suggested I take prenatal Vitamins. I thought "yea right, that won't work." But I was desperate, so I decided to try them. They worked! My hair stopped falling out and looks so much better! I just bought the cheap kind from Walmart.< /p>

  2. I decided not to get Mirena because I have endometriosis. My doctor put me on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo to help control it, and I absolutely love it. I have had trouble with all types of birth control pills, but I haven't had any trouble with these. No mood swings, and my skin actually looks so much better.

  3. ONE of the rudest things anyone said to me was... My mom came with me to my LAP-BAND® prep appointment. The nurse was in the process of taking my weight, blood pressure etc. I was very excited (I'm sure you can all relate). My mom was excited too, but not for me exactly... She said "I finally get my beautiful daughter back!" The nurse looked at me like "Wow!"

    Yep, that's my mom. LOL

Sounds like something my mother would say!!

  4. Trust me, people notice you have lost weight, they just won't say. A lot people are jealous, and they don't want to say anything about someone looking good. I had that problem where I used to work. I never told any of them I had a lap band. They never said one word to me when I starting losing weight. But when I stopped working there, I found out they were all talking about me behind my back because I had lost weight and they hadn't!

  5. Having complications does mess things up. I haven't had any complications, except for being too tight after every single fill. That has messed me up. The thing for me is, I know I look better, and I know I have greatly improved my health by losing, but in my head I am still the same. When I look in the mirror or look at a picture, I still see the same fat person as always. I guess it is easier to change our bodies than to change what's in our head.

  6. Well I am glad I had this surgery, I wouldn't want anything else other than the lap band because at least it can be removed if something goes wrong. If you have complications from other surgerys, too bad, you are stuck with it anyway! But I just expected to lose more than I have. I would like to go get a fill, but everytime I do, it is too tight and I end up having to go back. If they would just listen to me and not put so much in, it wouldn't be so bad. But they won't listen. I wish I knew how to do it myself!!

  7. I have had fill appointments where I am the only one there! But I think that's how it usually is when Brooke does them. I think I have enough restriction, I just need to start back exercising. Ever since my endometriosis surgey, I haven't been motivated to start back yet. But I know that's the only way I am going to get the rest of the weight off.
