I'm sure everything will go fine this time. My sister has had 3 miscarriages, the last one was at 5 months. She is pregnant again. She is due in February. I hope everything goes well this time. It would be nice to have another niece or nephew!

Thanks. I hope so to. I can't keep missing so much work and I'm supposed to start nursing school soon.
-
That's great! Good luck!

Oh my, how long since you had surgery? Did you just get the lapband?Hope all goes well.
Corliss
I had lap band surgery in May 2008. They don't think it is anything band related.

The doctor is going to schedule a colonoscopy to make sure it's not bowel related. If that is normal he is going to do the exploratory surgery to look and see what might be going on. They had thought I might have fibroids or endometriosis. The ultrasound didn't show any fibroids, so it could be endometriosis. He also said something about adhesions sticking together or something from surgeries I have had.

Rodriguezequal, did I miss something? Are you pregnant again?

I just got out of the hospital. The doctor thinks I had some type of lower abdominal infection (non band related). They gave me 7 or 8 different IV antibiotics. I feel a little better, but not much. I have to go for some more tests soon.

I have called the emergency number before.

Since the Lunesta is so expensive, I have been taking a generic sleeping pill from Walmart. It has the same thing as Benadryl in it. It says to take 2 of them, but I have just been taking one. It has been working really well and I am not sleepy during the day like I would be if I took 2 of them. And it's cheap too.

Thanks. The pain is making my band much tighter for some reason.

i am almost scared to write what happened yesterday.my pain was from a slipped band which was causing an obstruction. i had to have emergency surgery yesterday to repair it. basically, i had the original surgery all over again but without the port placement so the pain isn't as bad. i feel like i havent realized what happened yet because it all happened so fast. i went into the office at 9 and was in surgery by 12.
Thought i would let you all know what was going on.
Oh no! I hope you are ok now. That's part of the problem of being too tight. It can cause a slip. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I hope everything turns out ok. I hope that surgery is not needed for whatever it is.The doctor thinks I have endometriosis or uterine fibroids. So either way, surgery is probably in the near future. I go for some tests Monday.

Sure! LOL! Well, I hope I will still be able to go. I am having some health problems and my have to have surgery, so I will have to wait and see.

I was describing to someone how we have a tiny hole between our pouch and lower stomach, and they asked me what happens when you are sick with a virus and have to throw up. Sounds like y'all have some experience with that. Is there any pain from vomiting? All I have experienced is PB, which is from the pouch only.
I haven't actually vomited. I have just PBed everything that I have tried to eat the past few days. I have had a lot of diarreha.

I'm going to Daytona Beach Shores (south Daytona Beach) a week from tomorrow!Hey! I'm going to Daytona Beach the first week of August! Small world!

Kristine, it's not just the military doctors that think that. It's most other doctors too. I have never wanted kids and I would have had my tubes tied a long time ago, but they told me I would have to wait until I was at least 35. Yet if a young man wants a vasectomy, he can just walk right into the office and have one. It's not fair!
Anyway, thanks for all the support. I will have to wait and see what the ultrasound shows, or doesn't show, before I know anything else.

I'm sick as well. I think there is a stomach virus going around. I haven't been able to keep much down. Hopefully it will pass for both of us soon.

I have also missed a lot of work due to pain. I feel pain all over, though. I even run a fever. Thankfully I have understanding bosses. I have been to several doctors and none of them would listen to me. I finally found a PA who is listening and is going to help me figure out what is going on. I went to a gyno a few months after my lap band surgery because I was having bleeding and pain. She actually told me that it is my lap band causing it and that my birth control pill wasn't being absorbed because of the band!! Needless to say I ran out of there and didn't go back!

My hair started falling out about 3 months after surgery. I have had my band over a year now and my hair is still falling out. It will get better for awhile and then start falling out again. I am afraid it is just all going to come out one day.
-
I am thinking that she will probably try the surgery first to see if that helps before she does anything else. But I don't know for sure. A girl I work with had an ablation over a year ago and she's not had a period since.
-
I think my options may be limited because I don't have any kids. I don't want any, but it's hard to get a doctor to listen to that sometimes. I guess they are afraid I will change my mind later. But I don't think so. My husband and I were actually talking about him having a vasectomy a few weeks ago. But even still, I don't know what the treatment options are for someone who's not had kids.

Thanks, I was wondering if the novasure would help. What were your symptoms of endometriosis? I have a lot of pain everywhere in my lower abdomen and back. I also feel like I run a low grade fever sometimes.

I don't know if this is considered rude or not, but everytime I am eating with my mother, she just has to make a comment about me not eating bread. If we have hamburgers or hot dogs I will eat them without the bun. She always has to say "aren't you eating any bread?" Or if she fixes corn bread, she will say "you really need to try this bread." I just want to scream! I have had my band for over a year now, so it's not like it's something new that I don't eat bread!

I have been having a lot of irregular bleeding lately and a lot of pelvic pain. My doctor suspects that I may have endometriosis. I have to have an ultrasound on Monday to rule out any other problem. She said endometriosis won't show on an ultrasound, so if it doesn't show anything, then I will need to have surgery. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem and what is done for it. Has anyone had to have a hysterectomy?
Were is all my Chattanoogians at?
