Would you get breast implant.....??
Carrie_C replied to gg2007BandSTAR's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I know a lot of people don't like Victoria's Secret because they are snotty, but their secret satin bras are the best. I wear a 40DD and this is the biggest size they make, so luckly I can still wear them. I buy mine on ebay though. No snotty salesperson to deal with. -
I feel mine too. I think it is just normal to feel it, especially laying flat.
-
I know how you feel. I gained back almost 2 pounds this week and I hate it. I go for my first fill on Monday, so hopefully it will get better. I feel like I could eat as much as I want right now (even though I don't).

What's Novasure?
-
LOL, that's a good question.

Stay away from the band!!

What's a troll? -
My voice sounds young too, and I have curly hair, so I guess that makes me look younger as well.

Does anyone else get UTI's when they have sex?
Carrie_C replied to Oregondaisy's topic in The Gals' Room
I don't really know if sex causes mine, I don't have it that much. -
Well, I have always had the opposite problem. No one thinks I am 30. Everyone thinks I am a lot younger. I know a lot of people would take it as a compliment, but I feel like I some people don't respect me because they think I'm young. I work in the medical field and a lot of patients have actually asked me if I'm old enough to have a job and then when I go to draw their blood, they get nervous because they think I'm too young to do it!

I have one right now and I feel like crap. I got up to use the bathroom last night and OOCH it hurt. I have to go to the doctor today. -
Depo Provera did the opposite for me. I didn't think I would ever stop bleeding. I ended up in the hospital with a low blood count. That shot was evil for me!

Ever feel its not worth it?

Go back to your doctor. There are a lot of people who get way off track. They see it all the time. -

It will get better when you get passed the liquids and can have some real food. I was banded May 22 and I already feel like it was worth it. I had a really big cry around 4 days after my surgery and I regretted doing it, but I think almost everyone goes through that. I am fine now. Just hang in there and you will feel better. -
Good luck. I'm sure you won't have any trouble getting approved.

Playtex tampons only for me! I feel gross when I use pads!

That's great! I am a lot heavier than my husband too, and I am looking forward to the day I'm not! -
I know how you feel. My husband isn't exactly supportive either, and that makes it worse. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and last night my husband actually had the nerve to say that I could have done it on my own without the band, that it's all about will power! I am SO mad. I was very surprised to hear him say that. He has seen how many times I tried to do it own my own and failed. I wouldn't have chosen to have major surgery if I could have done it on my own.

lunch sounds great! No, I don't have any children. Do you? I know what you mean about the energy level increasing as I lose weight. That's one reason why I had surgery. I don't want to be a fat nurse! lol. I have been in the medical field for about 10 years or so. I started out as a CNA and then got my MA. I was also a phlebotomist for a while. I like being an MA, you can't beat the hours, plus weekends off. But there's so many people doing it now, it's getting harder to find good jobs at good offices. Plus the pay is not so great. I basically do a lot of the same things as nurses do, yet I get paid a whole lot less.
-
I was wondering how long everyone had to wait to do house work, especially vaccuming and laundry. I had my surgery on 5/22 and I wasn't supposed to do either one for 4 weeks. But I ended up having to do it today because my husband is a jerk and refuses to do it. I can't look and nasty floors for 2 more weeks, not to mention, I had nothing to wear. Now I'm afraid I might have hurt something. How long did everyone else wait?

I'm a medical assistant for a pain management doctor. But I just got accepted for the RN program at Cleveland State. Where did you go?
-
The nurse at the doctor's office said vitamin E is good, but I don't know if I believe her or not.
-
Yea, and I really don't see the point.
-
Where do you get it at?
-
Dr Paynter did mine at Memorial. What hospital do you work at?
-
I was having a lot of pain in my side, and the nurse said it was probably because of the position during surgery. She said your feet are in stirups and they are up in the air. The surgeon stands between your legs to do the surgery. Your abs are kind of in a crunch position. I'm glad I didn't know until after my surgery!
