No, you are not paranoid. It takes them a while to return calls for some reason.

I'm still here.

My husband wants to know "Will I lose My Boobs?"
Carrie_C replied to SusieC's topic in The Gals' Room
I have lost almost 20 pounds. I have lost inches everywhere except my boobs. Mine have always been big, but now they are big and saggy. -
I think it just depends on how the shoe is made. I normally wear about a 9 1/2 but the other day I got into a size 8 athletic shoe. I can't wear that size in any other shoe.

I used to have one of those rabbits like on Sex and the City, but it tore up and I haven't gotten another one, but I LOVED it!!
-
I understand how you feel. I have been asking myself the same question. I love my husband too, but I'm not in love.

Leaving tampons in too long can also cause an infection. I learned that the hard way.

Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?

Then I agree with the above, and I say go for it! I am tall, but I think shorter people have a harder time with weight. My Mother is only about 5'0 and she weighs about the same as you do. I think she would benefit greatly from the band. Her insurance won't pay either. I think anyone who is overweight should be able to get it, like others have said, it's not fair to make someone wait until they do have a health problem before anything is done. Me being tall, I don't look like I weigh as much as I do. And I had a lot of people telling me I wasn't "fat" enough to get it! That makes me so mad! -
OMG, that's what I take! LOL!

May I ask what pill you were taking?

What is the rudest thing someone has said to you?!?!

I wish I would have treated overweight people better too. I used to make fun of my brother who was chubby. Now he looks good and I'm the fat one. Go figure. -
The rabbits are the best!

I don't see anything wrong with them having it. Just because someone doesn't have any health problems now weighing 200 pounds doesn't mean they won't in the future. Lap band could help prevent that. And we all know how easy it is to gain, I mean didn't we all weigh 200 pounds at one time? The weight just kept coming on for me. The Lab band could prevent that as well. I am 5'6 and weighed 254 on my surgery date. If I had waited any longer, I would have been at 300 pounds in no time. It doesn't matter if you weigh 400 or 200, it is still very hard to lose weight, as we all know all too well. -
Hi, I had my surgery done on May 22 by Dr Paynter (he works with Ponce). They are really good doctors and I don't think you will be disappointed if you chose them.
-
They will just put a lot of padding underneath you. It's no big deal.

I like the It Figures line. They have suits for just about every body type. I like the ones with the tankini and skirt. The skirts are actually longer than most. They sell them at Fashion Bug, but they may not have many left this time of year. I bought one on ebay and I love it.

My husband and I haven't tried them, but a girl at work loves them. I'm not sure which one is best. Maybe you and your boyfriend could look at them together and decide. I wouldn't be worried about a guy being in here, lol. At least we can get their opinion.

You can buy them online. Go to adameve.com. They have everything.

How easy or difficult has it been to lose weight with Lap Band?
Carrie_C replied to photo's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No, it is not a lost cause. You haven't had any fills yet, so it is normal to be able to eat as much as you want. Plus with the problems you have had, I'd be surprised if you hadn't gained. The doctor probably sees people who have gained much more than you have. I wouldn't worry about it. Just get your fill and get better and the weight will start to come off. -
I don't have PCOS, but I couldn't shave mine for about a week after surgery. It was just too painful to bend down to do it. It would be easier if you took a bath, but you can't for at least 4 weeks. I just dealt with it. But I can understand how you feel. Maybe you have a best girlfriend that could help you?
-
That's a good idea. He sounds a little selfish. It doesn't sound like he's trying much to help you. A lot of guys are like that.

I have talked to a lot of people who have lost a lot of weight without a fill. I don't think it's abnormal. I had my surgery 5/22/08 and I have lost 16 pounds. I just had my second fill last week. I am scheduled for a 3rd next month. But if I still feel as restricted as I do now, I won't have the 3rd fill. We are all different. I know one lady who has lost 80 punds without a fill, and another who has had 8 fills and has lost 50 pounds, and she still doesn't feel restricted.

I don't think it's unhealthy either. When you are on the pill, you don't have an actual "period" anyway. What you have is withdrawel bleeding from being off the pill for a few days.
-
I've noticed the smell too. I never thought of it being because of not getting enough fluid. I think that is probably my problem. I just have a hard time getting enough liquids now. That was never a problem before surgery. But now, I just don't feel like drinking.

I bought mine at vitamin shoppe. You can also get it on ebay. I have only tried the fuzzy naval and I don't like it. It tastes like feet.
