I know what you mean, I have been feeling the same way. I just had a fill last week, so I know I won't be able to eat much.

Should prostitution be legal?

That's funny! -
I say goodbye as well! If they are that way, then they never were a true friend anyway.

I could never watch my husband with another woman either. I'd be wanting to kick some ASS!!!!

I have never been officially diagnosed with PCOS, but I highly suspect that I have it. I have all of the symptoms except for the facial hair. I do have think hair everywhere else though. Is there a test they do to diagnose it or do they just go on symptoms?

Months before surgery and diet going well - should I still get lap-band?
Carrie_C replied to kamala's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think most people feel that way during the 6 month diet. But I agree with others about it being hard to keep off. I have lost it lots of times, but I am not able to keep it off on my own. That is why I got the band. -
I have insulin resistance too. It makes it very hard. I weight 254 on the day of surgery and I am 5'7. I want to get to ONEderland too!! Hopefully in a few months.
-
We were banded the same day! I haven't been exercising much. I really need to start back. I slacked off when the weather got cold. I was walking outside, but I can't now. I need to start hitting the treadmill again.

Thanks! I was too tight with my last 2 fills, and now I finally feel like it is right. I would much rather be too loose that too tight. I was miserable.

Exercise = weight loss stops

I have the same problem. When I exercise I lose a lot slower. It is very aggrevating! -
Had lap band surgery, but never followed up
Carrie_C replied to benmond's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
"It's odd that anyone would go through a surgery to better their health and just decide to forget about it, and not use the tool." You would be surprised at how many people this actually happens to. I work in a doctors office and I have seen people that never go back for any follow ups. Most of them have regained all the weight, plus some. I think some just get really discouraged and don't go back. -
Average age of a Bandster?
Carrie_C replied to Kellster's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I don't think I was mentally perpared either. I think if I would have had it done in my early 20s, I wouldn't have been successful. -
Thanks. I went Monday and had some fluid taken out. I feel much better. I couldn't even keep water down over the weekend. The nurse that took the fluid out said that the doctor put way too much in.

Had lap band surgery, but never followed up
Carrie_C replied to benmond's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If she is throwing up so much, something may be wrong. I think you should keep encouraging her to go to the doctor. It is not normal to be like that. -
I try not to worry about what other people say or think anymore. It is my business. I am the one who has to look at myself in the mirror everyday and deal with not being able to do things I want to do because of my weight, not everyone else. So if someone doesn't like it, that is their problem, not mine.

I still haven't told that many people. I was telling some, but everyone was looking at me like I was a freak or something, so I just stopped telling. No one I work with knows and I plan to keep it that way. They are very judgemental. Very few of my family members know, but the ones that do know have been supportive.
-
I was worried about telling my parents too, but surprisingly, my mother was very supportive.

It depends on your hair type. If you go to Nioxin.com, click on Assess My Needs and it will ask you a few questions and then tell you what number you need. I use #5 because my hair is very course and curly and not dyed. I would suggest buying it on ebay, that is where I found it the cheapest. I would also suggest first buying a starter kit to see how you like it before you spend a lot on bigger bottles. I have used it for almost a month, and I can see a difference. I actually have little hairs growing back. I don't know if it is from the Nioxin, but I'm just glad it's coming back in.

I wouldn't weigh everyday. That will just make you crazy.

I agree, I sure don't want them walking up and down my street trying to get business! -
FYI about Hair Loss
Carrie_C replied to mamalovell's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I noticed today that mine is starting to grow back. I saw some short hairs sticking out. -
November 22 will be 6 months for me. I have lost 30 pounds. All of my clothes are getting too big and I really need to buy some new ones. I have been able to get into jeans that I haven't worn in years. I love it and wouldn't go back for anything.

Thanks. It seems to be a little better today, but I still can't eat but a few bites and the pain starts. It is very aggravating because my last fill was too tight too and when they took some out, I think they took too much. That was just a few weeks ago and I am going through the same thing again.
