I do the same thing, one week I will lose nothing and the next I will lose 3 or 4 pounds. It seems like I don't lose anything the week of my period and the week after.

Everyone I know is on a diet too, so no one notices that I eat different. I really don't eat any different than anyone else though, except for not drinking with my meals and eating protein first. Only one person has said something about me not drinking with meals and I just said I don't drink when I eat. But a lot of people who don't have a band don't drink when they eat, so it was no big deal.

I think I read somewhere that it is fluid that comes from some glad near the g spot.

slim, I'm sorry. I think you need to keep on trying to get it back. If you didn't have a hernia repair, tell them you checked with the hospital and they said you didn't have one. If you have an EOB from your insurance company, I would call the insurance company and tell them what is going on. The office is prohibited by law to bill you more than what insurance says you owe. (I know all this stuff because I work in a doctor's office). They finally got my insurance straightened out. They owe me about $400. I called Johnna last week and she said they haven't received the check from my insurance company. I am going to call her back today. I really need that money. Who did your fill? The last 2 fills I have had have been too tight. I have had to go back and have some taken out twice. I have been very aggrevated with them. They do this stuff everyday, they should know how much Fluid to put in.

I have been selling on ebay for a few years now. It is not hard at all. Buy a small scale and weigh everything so you will know what to charge for shipping. You can also buy envelopes and shipping supplys cheap on ebay. The fees are not that bad. The first picture is free. Once you get started, it is not hard at all. The best thing to do is have good pictures. Sunday night is a good time for you auctions to end and this time of year is the best time to sell. The worst time to sell is during the summer. I feel nothing either. I guess we are the unlucky few who it doesn't work for.

I think him not noticing has a lot to do with him just being male. My husband is the same way. I have lost almost 40 pounds and he hasn't said much at all. He only noticed the other day because the pants I had on were falling off. He wouldn't have noticed any other way. My feelings have been hurt as well, but I just keep reminding myself that males are that way, they don't notice much. I bet if you had a teenage daughter, she would have noticed!

Yea, I don't understand how some have lost 80 pounds either. I asked the nurse and she said that the more you have to lose, the faster it comes off. My BMI was 41 when I started, so I expected to lose a little slow. I don't eat much either. I don't count calories, but I can't even eat a cup at a time, so I know I'm not getting that many calories in a day. I also didn't have to do a preop diet, so I didn't lose any before surgery like some others did.

My doctor says I am doing great too, in fact, we all are doing great! It just seems like on the other thread for the May bandsters, some of them have lost 2 or 3 times as much as me. I got discouraged reading there, so I thought it would be nice to have our own thread.

Hi, I am so glad to find people like me who don't have any children!! It is very hard to find people who don't want any, especially where I live. I am 30 and live in Tennessee. I have been banded since May. The weight is coming off a little slow, but I agree with people who say don't compare yourself with others. Good luck!

Yes, this is very common. There are tons of threads on here about it. I had surgery in May and my hair started falling out in August. It is just now starting to get a little better. From what I have read it usually happens about 3 months after surgery.

I like number 2. It looks best.

I had my 4th fill on Wednesday and I am having a lot of pain and slime. I am able to keep some things down, but just with a few bites, I get pain, and A LOT of slime. It is really gross. I was too tight with my 3rd fill and had to have some removed. I couldn't keep anything down though, so that's how I knew it was too tight. I can keep things down now, but it is very painful. I have always had a lot of slime, but this is really bad. Does anyone think it is too tight? Will it get better in a few days or should I call the doctor? All the slime has me really worried.

I used to be hungry all the time too. No amount of food would satisfy me. I felt like I had no control over my life. The band has given me that control and I wouldn't go back for anything.

I had the same thing happen, I was too tight at one of my fills. I went in about 2 weeks later to get another one. The nurse said it is normal after getting an unfill to need a fill soon after because being too tight causes swelling in the stomach and that gives you some restriction, but once the swelling goes down, most people need another fill.
