I can't imagine having to do the liquid diet over christmas. But it will be so worth it when you see the pounds start coming off. Slim, I know what you mean, it can take a while before you start seeing it. Are you keeping track of your measurements? I have been doing mine once a month since surgery. I measure bust, waist, hips, arms, and legs. I have a notebook that I write it in. I have lost more inches than pounds. When I look at the difference in the numbers, that keeps me motivated.

Yea, I want a lift too. My aunt who weighs about 100 pounds is getting a reduction and lift! I am so jealous!

I do not have one on my butt, but I do have one on my back. Mine is sore too when I touch it. Mine has gone down some since losing weight, and I am hoping it goes away. The doctor said if it doesn't, there is a simple surgery that can remove it.

I definitely think there is more going on than just friendship. I may be wrong, but I don't think there are that many grown married women who spend the night with their friends. (At least I don't). Red flags went off in my head when you said she went away with her on your anniversary weekend. That does not sound right. However, I do not think you need to start having an affair. That is just adding fire to the flame. I think you need to sit down with your wife and have a long talk. Find out what is going on. If she really cares about you and wants to save the marriage, she will be willing to be honest with you and work everyting out. If she is unwilling to talk and be honest, I would start looking for a good divorce lawyer. Good luck.

Well, I have lost 35 pounds, and I have lost NOTHING from my boobs. I am a DD and I would actually like to lose about a cup size.
-
I'm going to have to try one of those cups.

LOL! I agree, buy it! You won't be sorry!

Weigh in... how much have u lost?

Yea, I used to think the same thing, how hard could it be? But it is hard to remember sometimes! I especially have a harder time eating slow when I am pushed for time. Like breakfast in the mornings before work. I don't always get up in time to take the time to eat. And I only get a 30 minute lunch break, so sometimes it is hard not to eat fast because I am trying to rush. Not drinking with meals used to be hard, but I have gotten used to that. The hardest part about that is convincing people that I really don't want anything to drink with my food. You would think my husband would be used to that by now, but he still asks. -
What is the rudest thing someone has said to you?!?!

It's funny how most of the comments made were from people who are overweight themselves. My mother used to give me a hard time too and she has always had a weight problem. I was skinny when I was a teenager, but as soon as I started putting on weight she started making comments. That really hurt me because when I was skinny and she was heavy, I never made one rude comment to her about her weight. I even used to tell her that she wasn't fat. But as soon as I started putting it on, she couldn't wait to say something. -
Thanks, I am feeling better today than I did yesterday. That's great that you have lost 28 pounds!

Wow I thought I was the only one who worked with catty judgemental people until I read this post! I agree, it is a very personal decision. I am a very private person and don't like everyone knowing my business so that's why I didn't tell many people. -
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I feel like a skinny person in a fat suit that I can't take off. But the band is helping me lose it.

Thanks! I can't wait to get started in school. Right now I work as a medical assistant in a doctor's office and I really like it, so I'm sure I'll love being a nurse.

Weigh in... how much have u lost?
Carrie_C replied to Southern Missy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
No, I'm not too tight, I just eat too fast at times, especially when I am really hungry and I've waited too long to eat. -
Yea, Brooke seems like the only one to have it together. And Tiffany. I have had to call her a few times. I haven't had a chance to call my insurance company today because I am sick with the flu or something.
-
Yea really. That's pretty bad. I am going to call my insurance today and make sure they have everything they need. If they don't I am going to call Dalton. I don't even want to waste my time with Johnna.

That's great! I slime a lot when I eat. -
Oh yea, I found out why my insurance is taking so long to pay for my fills and unfills. Johnna didn't submit all the paperwork to them that they need. So now it is probably going to take at least 90 days before anything is paid. That makes me really mad. My surgery was over 6 months ago and she still has not gotten everything in order.
-
So are you going to get any money back? That is very stupid that he didn't tell you that you had a hernia. You would think a doctor would tell his patient something like that!
-
I work in a doctor's office and I am in desperate need of some XL tops. I am willing to pay shipping. Thanks!

I am losing slow too, that's another reason I haven't told anyone. -
I agree. Everyone else there has been great.
-
You should call Dalton. They are a lot more helpful than Johnna. She really needs to be replaced. I still haven't gotten my money either, but it's because my insurance is being a pain about paying for some of my fills.

I didn't tell anyone I work with because they are all very judgemental and negative. My family knows and I had told a few other people after I had surgery, but they all looked at me like I was crazy so I stopped telling anyone. When someone asks how I lost the weight, I just say I pushed back from the table.
